Hi this is probably my first Review since I've started reading novels on WebNovel. MAJOR SPOILER - ATENTION Many might not like the direction that the autor went, even I first doubted when I reached the turning point on the 1700ish chapter when her life turns around again. This story is divided in 2 parts: -The 1st, when she goes back to past and decides to do what she wanted to do all her life, to make her own path, instead of being the punching bag and milk cow of her family as she had been in her last life; -The 2nd, when she discovers that all that she did (going back into the past), never happened. It was just a Dream. Many read the 1st part and end it there because it can be considered the perfect ending. Its a really great story and could easily be a great ending to the story. Many people say so and stop reading from that point. In my opinion, however, the "bread and butter" of this story is the 2nd part, something that I haven't seen other authors do, and that we should commend the author for trying to do: "what would you do if you could glimpse what could been your life, if you changed something in your past and the effects on you future and the fact that nothing that you experienced was real". The Female Lead after waking up from her coma, wept for what could been her life, the hapiness that she built for "years" to vanish to dust. The moment that she finally decided to move on, to make something of her life and be happy, instead of being her family's mule. The story shows you someone who had been mistreated her whole life, and told herself "Enough is Enough, its time for me to be happy too" and did somehintg for it. It leaves you a lesson that its never to late to seek your happiness. I really love this story, and many times that I want to re-read it, I usually only read the 2nd part of the story, since to me the 1st part is the "perfect life" and the 2nd part is the "real life", which introduces the real change to her life. The fact that She has no idea if the dream she had has any real information, makes her actions more believable and relatable than anything. The fact that she tries to run away from the Male Lead so as to not suffer from the hurt of what could have been her life, pulls your hearts strings and makes you suffer along her story. I hope that everyone gives a chance to the 2nd part of the story and sees it as an "alternate ending", or even the "True Ending", the best ending that you could ever have if you never had a chance to change your past, only your present. Congratulations to the Author for such an immersive story, and happy readings to the rest.

it's an interesting and engaging story. the only problem i had reading this had to do with weird time jumps and a total lack of transition from one setting to another. the characters are developed and written well, but it is VERY Chinese. there are even whole chapters dedicated to Chinese patriotism and cultural pride, which wouldn't be a problem if the chapters were free. it gets extremely repetitive without doing anything to help move the story along. the love story between the main characters is steady and sweet, and there are even interesting developments between side characters. the story is full of plots and schemes, which can start to get frustrating and repetitive, but it is pretty true to human nature. read with an open mind, a steel resolve, and a forgiving attitude towards skips and jumps without preamble.. and be prepared for the (sudden and repetitive) bias and patriotism, especially since the male lead is a soldier.

This story make people angry but also in love a the same time. However, it's still a very beautiful and meaningful story. I agree that sometimes the storyline is a little bit long and well, the wake up from the dream is very frustrating. I was very angry at the beginning but after that I feel that sometimes we need to face our reality and not indulge ourself in our dreams

The base story grabbed my attention but literally two-thirds of the chapters are filler that don't progress anything. Very sad

This was the first Chinese novel that I read. I didn't know what I was in for. I liked the plot, and kept reading. One thing that puzzled me when I was just starting to read it was the many many ramblings (cos it just went on and on for many chapters) that were sort of inserted, like a filler. It was new for me. So I checked to see how many chapters this novel had; lo and behold, it had 2000+ chapters! I was really shocked, but persevered reading it (in other websites 😄). That was my initiation for Chinese novels. I've read a lot after this novel, and so I came to know that for Chinese novels, it was normal to go on for more than a 1000+ chapters or so, with the awful lot of ramblings. By the time the plot reaches that stage, I then skim through just to know what's happening. I still like this story though. Even now, I go back and reread it, but I just read the parts I like. 😂

When I reached the major plot twist part of the story, it was like a splash of cold water to my face. I did continue reading after that but I slowly lost interest and skipped chapters to find out the endings to all the characters. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed majority of it. 👍🏼

I love how realistic some of the scenes are despite it's reincarnation plot. i can't the villains sometimes because they are relatable. i love the characters and esp the leads despite their flaws. i love the book. well written. so close to my heart. unforgettable. 🥰😌😫💕

I loved the story but the short story add on was not necessary. I felt like I had to force myself to finish the short story yet on but I did love the main story

The FL was the best , like she suffered so much. Compared to other FL she isn't OP but instead hardworking and had experience from her past life. She doesn't use anything that happens in the future to her advantage instead she goes with life normally and tries to better her life through hard work. The ML was there always to support her but he doesn't need to defend her because she defends herself. The ML is so straight forward and such a gentleman. Their feelings didn't come out of the blue , they gradually developed feelings as he was the only one who helped her from the beginning. And he didn't do it with ulterior motives like getting closer to her... like some other MLs... He helped her and the reason is quite simple , he's a good person. Shi Qing is an awesome best friend and the way she becomes friends with the FL reminded me so much of my friendship with one of my friends.

While i do love this story i do think this story should be 500 less because some chapters are just pure fillers or repeating character analysis or mentioning past events which made it very boring. The villains are a bit 2d with very fixed roles and no deviation and the kids are just magically angels. The characters i love the most are of course the main couple but sometimes they get neglected for trivial events.The story is predictable but it would be a good soap opera

It was a good story with a major twist.. its like 2 different stories in one story..........................................................

Story line is plain, common in daily lives. However, it’s added the situation of period of 1960-70s, so it gave a bit of background. Easy reading.

this book was lovely and the characters had great depth. I both loved and hated the plot twist of the middle of the book though. I loved it because it was so unexpected but I really disliked that the first "life" gave more depth to the next generation and side characters than the second one did. I felt like the back story of miao jing should have been kept way more elusive if the novel was going to end with it. it felt like the 3rd or 4th time I had been given that characters backstory and it took all of the impact out of the ending. overall a good read though.

I love the story! has many misfortunes but in the end you realize just how strong she is. Not quite a reincarnation story but similar... almost an alternate reality? This story really helped to keep me humble during 2020 lockdowns... Life could be like this poor FL; so be greatful this is only a few years of hardship and not a lifetime of betrayal and abuse... Some interesting lessons for the teens thanks to her new perspective "Study first" but "don't burn out" 4 hours then rest! Never skimp on your health and be sure to rest!

everybody talking about main story but I want to talk about the grandparents Miao jing and Sheng Yaohui even if you give up half way (spoilers)big plot twist of waking up from coma (spoilers)you should definitely read extra about them. how they met get closer get married as well as qi minglan's mindset shi family's though. very fun and must read it as a prequel of this story.

I really enjoy this novel, although it’s a bit confusing on she thought she’d reincarnated but it just a long dream, the side story between the grandparents is sweet

one of the best story developments with out dragging the plot. worth the read. not much cliche submissive female character or overdominent male .
