I avoided this for months because I thought it was another cheesy love story. Author Moon has proven me wrong, though. Unlike other transmigration stories I have come across in Webnovel, "Accidentally Married a Fox God" accurately portrays the feelings and bewilderment of a 21st century millennial office girl suddenly transported into a fantasy world devoid of the modern conveniences and social rules she is accustomed to. The reader is drawn into her very relatable struggles, as she makes sense out of what has happened to her, then figures out how to survive in this strange world. Heroine Li Meirong is as real as one can get. She has no superpowers or special abilities, only her wits and common sense to use her modern knowledge to get by. One can't help but worry, cringe, and cheer with every hurdle she faces. Based on and inspired by traditional East Asian folklore -- the kitsune of Japan and huli jing of China -- this story paints a dream world filled with shimmering landscapes, fantastic beasts, and celestial beings, brought to life even more with the scents and flavors of Asian spices and cuisine. These provide a beautiful backdrop against which Li Meirong's journey of self-discovery unfolds. How she learns and grows in strength and knowledge despite her incongruity, is my favorite part of the story. How she falls in love (and discovers the truth regarding her destiny in this world) is but the icing on the cake! Very well written with few technical or grammatical errors, this novel deserves a place in legitimate literature and anime. It is at par with other, established novels. Plot and build up is very well paced, with skillful use of literary devices such as foreshadowing and symbolic references. Characters, even the villains and side cast, are alive and very relatable. Cliché tropes are minimal. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I originally thought that since this is an original, it would be like the other ones I had read, cheesy and overly influenced by the translated novels. But this novel is something else. It has its own story, characters, and I am loving the plot like crazy!! It’s the first original story I’ve spent spirit stones on, and i don’t regret it one bit. At this point, I’m only up to chapter 93, but I will slowly save up my spirit stones again!! Thank you, author, for writing such a dedicated and outstanding novel!!

Overall good novel. Sometimes lengthy explanations of terms do not translate well, such as cultivation. However, this doesn't take away from the story being told, in fact in enhances it because the protagonist doesn't understand half the time either. This makes her extremely relatable. The pacing is SUPERB in this despite some others disagreeing, the slow burn of the male lead not always being the center of the story is refreshing for a romance. Speaking of characters, the two main protagonists are nicely fleshed out, neither one compromising their personalities simply for the author to progress the story. The universe is fleshed out nicely without going into too much detail, which I find actually let's my mind fill in the gaps with imagination. Author is skilled at having many subplots at once while being able to juggle and not confuse readers. Very well written indeed.

I've just started the story, about 20% in and am loving it so far! Exciting romance between a fairly independent, diplomatic and sweet female lead and powerful, cunning male lead!

This is quite a nice story but the update is too slow for my taste . Author moon please do some regular update please the update suspense is too much.

Diese Geschichte startet sehr gut. Lustig, interessante Geschichte, spannend. Nach den ersten Kapiteln bricht die Geschichte jedoch drastisch ein. Der Autor verliert sich in ausschweifende Szenenbeschreibungen die nicht zur Story beitragen, die Liebesgeschichte wird immer alberner und dreht sich permanent im Kreis, Handlungen/Ereignisse werden nicht aufgelöst und fallengelassen und das Ende wird spannungslos in 3 Kapiteln abgefertigt. Von mir nicht zu empfehlen 👎🏻

Don’t bother. It was a great story but the author dropped of the face of the Earth somewhere around a year ago. If you want an incredibly frustrating experience where you get really into something and then have it yanked away before anything actually gets resolved then this is the story for you. It’s just like all those amazing animes that only get a season (yet One Piece somehow has 1000+ episodes)

im pretty ticked off that even after purchasing coins and rating this book I cant finish it unless I spend more for PRIVILEGED CHAPTERS. what a joke.

Firts, i would like to say to the author thant the story he or she created is absolutely amazing! I like that the story is a romance but also a comedy and sometimes i can't stop myself laugthing.I also really like the personality of every characters. Keep up with this amazing story! There is naive and then there is willful blindness. The writing is good, but the progress of the characters is irritating. While the concept of the character started as naive, by chapter 170, it became more of stubborn and wilful blindness. She is neither street smart nor book smart, which is fine, but her progress as well as the romance is agonizingly slow. By 176 I had to stop because it became apparent the MC was either too stubborn or too stupid to learn from her mistakes. The romance is cute, but there isnt enough of it to keep the read going if she is just going to keep being an idiot. And while I get the ML is tricking her, which is cute, I dont feel like the chemistry between the two is there because she’s so resistent (due to her past) which leaves the story lacking for want of either a FL who wises up or a FL who accepts the ML.

I do love the plot. Indeed, I do. But... Sigh... My dearest FL, why are you so pitiful? Not only are you unknowingly caught up in a lie, but you are also very stupid yourself. Why do you question so little about the things going on around you when your past history makes it so you have a tough time trusting men?

Glad to see the author moon back at it again 😀 can't wait to see what the future has in hold for us author don't give i know it hard from this epidemic that been going but keep fighting on :)
