Chapter 36: Drakkthar

He landed on the floor at the base a mountain path, storm clouds made heavy rain and booming thunder, "I think I am nearly there," He said looking up the path. He began his ascent of the mountain path as flying would get him hit with lightning, making his wings create his armor, all but the horned helmet. His feet sank into the muddy path as the water continued to dig into the path, creating small rivers and mini landslides. He continued to climb as the storm was uncontrollable, and the rain resisted his blessing, nothing he was doing seemed to reduce its strength, "Lord Boros, you must be testing me even before I get to your temple," Vidian laughed as he caught himself from falling, "You really want to break me during your work, huh?" He laughed as he walked up the path, now with his wings out to allow him to balance, "Keep it coming, I can handle more than that!" As he finished his sentence a bolt struck near him and a figure appeared, a figure wearing a large black cloak with a hidden face and a large sheathed weapon, "What on earth?" The figure stood still for awhile with the rain pounding the muddy path and their bodies, "Who are you?"

"A god, mortal, Blentus, the God of Suffering, you shouted my lord's name, yet I don't recognize you, who might you be?"

"I am Vidian of the Great Desert, I am here to speak with Lord Boros."

"You are the crazy mortal that has collected 10 blessings, well, this storm with rage until you reach the town," Lord Blentus reached for his weapon and pulled a large, hammer with a spike head and a flat head, he hit the ground and a three figures rose from the ground, three very human figures. A bolt hit the ground again, blinding Vidian and once he regained his vision, Blentus was gone. One of the mud figures lunged at him before he use his palm to shatter it, sending bits of hard mud flying into the air and the muddy path. The two other figures both attacked him. Vidian used his dragon wings to slice right through the first figure and then spun and landed his heel to the shoulder of the third figure, shattering its entire body from the impact. He slammed his fist into the torso of the half-figure and it shattered like the other ones. He shook his hands to rid them of mud and then returned to walking up the path as more bolts lit up the sky and the rain seemed to fall faster and harder than before.

A few minutes later another muddy figure emerged from the mud and lunged at him. He slammed his hand into the figure's neck and took its head clean off, before using his palm and hitting the figure's chest, shattering it, "Lord Blentus, you make the storm and now these things, you are trying to make me quit, I won't fold!" He shouted at the storm as if Lord Blentus could hear him. He shattered another mud figure with a back handed swing, barely paying attention to it. He soon reached the top of the path and saw Drakkthar, a dark city, with buildings made of the same stone as the mountains, black, dusty rocks. The rain continued to pound, he had to reach the town the stop the storm. He looked at the sky and saw hundreds of bolts light up the sky. His body lit up with markings as he threw himself from the top of the path and his wings spread. He plunged towards the town as bolts rained down around him. He stopped himself violently with his four wings and set his foot down on the cobblestone round of the town, the rain died down instantly and the sky became calm with clearing clouds. The people of the town looked at him as he walked towards the large temple that was Lord Boros's altar. He seemed to attract a lot of attention as with each step more people looked at him. Two figures appeared in front of him from out of a small crowd, cloaked, with showing blades, stopping him at the foot of the steps that lead up to the temple, "Out of my way," Vidian said coldly.

"We are in command here, Lord Boros does not want to receive any visitors at this moment."

"Of course he doesn't," He barged past them. They drew their blades and shouted for him to stop, "He will know who I am," Vidian said as his arm split and grabbed both blades, making them crumble, "Lord Eternum has sent me."
