painful. annoying. This story has an MC that has no brain or spine and an ML that does that thing where they do awful things to the person they love to protect them, don't explain anything, dont even tell them that they love them or even try to make up for all the pain they have caused and just expect not just forgiveness, but also either gratitude or just moving past it. He never said he loved her, let her think he believed she murdered his lover and baby and kept her in prison for 2 years. He asked like 2 people to make sure she was ok while in jail, yet never bothered to check in those 2 years and was shocked that she had been abused during that time. He assaults her, but thinks it's ok and even good because she blushes or seems to "like it". Neither he nor her think about getting her therapy or some kind of support to work through what she experienced. She, despite everything he put her through, just keeps going along with things, barely fights back or really anything. I suppose this could be characterised as a bit of a dark romance, but it's mostly just 2 people that have no communication or respect for each other and that use love as a reason/excuse to do anything they want. Neither of these characters have something endearing or likable to make you forgive or put aside things. have read a similar storyline where someone was trying to kill the ML and was threatening him using the MC and because he couldn't defend himself, get the bad guy and protect her, he did something similar, but at least there was a reason that you could suspend some disbelief with. This was just.... even when he proposed, you didn't know he loved her. or even liked her. So this deep love he has for her is just there. after a while, I found myself skipping chapters because they were boring or repetative and I ended up not even reading the end because I simply did not care enough.

you know what would be awesome.If Fl returned to time where she was silly in love with the ml but there was nothing going on with them, then she could go back live her normal life without ml and his craziness

Actually, the beginning was quite good and I'm looking forward to it, but the constant exclamation mark instead of full atop was extremely annoying.I only hope it wouldn't be in the remaining chapters.

tbh , I don't feel pity towards the ML at all no matter what happen to him also I don't want to read this novel fully either . I just skipped most chapters just to know what type is this ML . and truly he's awful . FL suffered so much bcs of him and after knowing the truth that she had been abused , he apologized and said he would take better care of her bla bla bla . but then once something happened , he abused her too in bed that she bcame traumatized with it and he dare to utter words of sorry after he knows the truth .😒 most of the time he just wanted to do ' that ' with her even when she still doesn't forgive him and hated him . overall , let's just say , I don't like both of them . there's so much better fl and ml out there .

The story was really good for me. The characters in the story really left a big impact to me. The different twist and turn in the story is good and how the plot developed, however there are some inconsistencies in terms of recaps of scene in every chapter, some redundancy of words but the story was good. I kinda felt little bit hanging in the last chapter of the story. I wish to read a little bit more of what happen next with the main lead characters, as well as the supporting one.. It's kinda 'bittin'.. 😉🥰

I liked the way story develops and it's a must read book. But female characters in this story have tortured themselves a lot and it took a long for female lead to understand male lead. But overall nice story.

The writing itself is good but augh I hate the story and the plot. Hate it. Maybe if you like the domineering CEO type who forcefully sleeps with an unwilling woman, or the guy that sends his wife to get beaten and tortured in prison for two years and then seems surprised when she doesn't love him any more it'd be better for you than it was for me.

okay it is a good story. Love it very much. Actually more than MC I was interested in the side leads more 😂😛. But the MC was also very good. I personally din't like the behaviour of ML but at the end everything was good. 😍😍😍

dropped early.. stupid fl...for whatever reason or danger there is, putting the fl to jail means that ml is not powerful enough to protect her.. after the fl is released, a kiss from ml would melt down her heart and knees, just like that? ??? author, cant you give the fl a little dignity?

I love the story. At first, I was angry at how YX treated MC after she got out of prison n treated her so protectively. When I later realised that he did all for her, I was touched. That's what we call true love. I also like the author's view on love. Despite the novel being entertaining n capturing, it's educative morally. I love it n kudos to the author n the translator. All the best in their future works.

Sorry for the low rating, but I had to give it to the ML. This kind of ML is very big NO-NO. I understand the circumstance of FL as she can't even run away from him, as the ML is oh so powerful and strong, he can find her anywhere and his people are everywhere. Yet this oh so powerful ML can't even protect his so called love FL and harms her more instead. No one needs his kind of sh*tty love. EW. I pity the FL for the kind of psycho she fell in love with and even married.
