To make up for my shameful past, I have dedicated the last few years to desperate studying and working. My past. My earlier self. I have never wanted any of it.

Whenever I am not doing anything productive, they come back to haunt me, as if everything I saw and every person I met reminded me of what I have done or rather, not done. This pathological life cannot continue anymore. One day, I would have had to do something about it. I don't know what. Perhaps something terrible beyond words.

And then, everything changed. A turning point of my career, a dark alley, a murderer. I was reincarnated into a different world. A world imbued in 18th-19th-century culture and lifestyle. A world embroiled in wars where honor and glory were still a thing.

Even if I ended up successful in my past life, I could not forget how life treated me before that. I was not able to live happily.

Now it is different, I get a new life in a place where my failures have never happened. Everything in the past remains not only in the past but in a different world altogether that has nothing to do with me any longer.

I have been given a second chance in life, a second chance to not commit the same mistakes I have made. A life to live for myself, for my passions. A life where I can emulate the great men of history.

How cool is that? It is not every day that you get such an opportunity.

Well then, why don't we see what this world has to offer?
