Overall was a really great story but I think the author might’ve died? Had testicular cancer and stopped updating so it’s very possible sadly.

It has been a long time since this story has been updated and the author hasn't sent us(his reddit page) an update, going fully offline. I'm not sure whether or not anybody will read this novel because they might want to read despite knowing that there will never be an end. Regardless, I have to share my opinion on the story even if I read it months and possibly over a year ago. This story is an amazing one that truly shows how Arran grows from being a country boy. I'm sure if you're reading this and you haven't read Paragon of Destruction yet, you will be confused as to whether this atypical novel is good or bad, but I will try to provide my point of view on the debate as I see it. Many comments and reviews highlight that Arran has been as dumb as a rock with decision making without growth, but I contest this view. Arran at the start of the novel was absolutely confused and thrust into an unfamiliar world of magic, so he was constantly making incorrect decisions. Little does it help that he's a teenager with emotions who doesn't want to stay in a dark room repeating one move for centuries. Later in the novel, though, Arran is able to trick an entire government just for the sake of getting stronger. He isn't any criminal mastermind just yet, but he is able to use complicated and nuanced ways of thinking in order to further himself and reach his goals. Therefore I conclude my argument that Arran has absolutely shown growth in decision-making skills throughout PoD. Secondly, many people seem to believe that Arran is untalented and always compared to those stronger than him. To explain why this is irrelevant, I have to explain the concept of many wuxia novels. In many wuxia novels, the main character will grow strong enough that they will be the strongest in their world/region, but must then move on to a place where others match up to their strength/skills at the time. Arran does this same concept, but since the entire story has had him journey through dofferent places, it fits in well with the story rather than randomly moving to a higher realm. Arran is constantly comparing homself to those stronger than him and exceeding his limits because that is the best way for him to grow stronger. Because of this, even though it may seem like Arran is always weaker and less talented, he is realistically far more talented than his age group. Ultimately, whether or not you agree with me, please check out Paragon of Destruction because it's a wonderful novel that naturally flows as a Eastern/Western fantasy. It may be over, but this novel will always hold a place in my heart.

The book is well written , and is quite fun to read , so i rate the book rather highly. Im sad that , a book i have binge read , might just end like this couse autor is sick , wish the best to the autor (or his family ), whatever happened to him .

it stopped updating idk why tho still I'm kinda new to the app but I finished the novel and it's the best novel i have read on this app so far.

It's been a while now since I finished reading this light novel but I still remember it sometimes. It was very entertaining and helped pass the time, but what I remember most is that it motivated me to improve myself, especially in the basics, of whatever I do. It has a well thought out story, world, and magic system. It has a realistic character and character growth. I would recommend this story to others.

It was amazing untill the girl came shes so annoying shes one of the most annoying characters i have ever read and also the writing quality droped a lot and the mc is so annoying to i think the author was tryingvto make the story funny but its not he is just annoying af Btw can anybody tell me if the mcs personality changes and the girl either dies or doesent become annoying to the point pc me dropping it

This novel is definitely one of the best on webnovel. The story is captivating. The world building is amazingly detail and interesting. I also love the characters, both the antagonists and protagonists. They all have a great depth in their character designs. The MC is doing great so far. Some people might dislike him in the beginning of the story, but i find it realistic the way he was. He was suppose to be a young country bumpkin boy and he acted exactly like that. He was naive, not dumb, and he has shown a lot of grow through out the story. MC is not exactly a genius, but hard working and also bright in many aspects. All and all, this novel is my top 2, just behind LOTM. However, it's very unfortunate that it is and might forever be discontinued due to the author's health. That is extremely disheartening. I really hope that the author can make a comeback and keep this amazing novel continue on. Best wish for author!

I know you are discouraged because some idiots say this story isn't good especially at the beginning and it is hard for writers to earn money, your relatives died... life is hard sometimes, I hope you are feeling better now. Please continue arran's story. I loved it since chapter 1. It is one of my few all-time favorites. I told my mother for hours on end about your novel. Actually at the start of the year I wanted to PN you and wish you well and say this novel is awesome and so very well written... but I am a bit shy and didn't do it. I regret that now. I will follow you and continue to check this series in the hope of seeing chapter 420. Ah well I guess you will never read this review. Just caught up to the latest chapter and was dissapoited to see it came out 3 months ago. This novel is one of the best written ones on this app, feels almost like a well written light novel. The charactor development is well thought out. The MC is designed so that in the begging he is almost a blank piece of papper and as the stroy progress not only does his power grow but his witt and charactor. He is an idiot at the start but as the auther introduces side charractors they shape his charactor for the better . This book also has the best side charactors I've ever seen in Web novels. I can unfortunatly not give this novel a better rating, as its author has not updated this novel for a long time. Still i want to support this novel. The writing quallity is among the best that this site has to offer, and through out the chapters the story quality changed from fairly ok to supreme levels. The more i read the more interested i became. At the beginning I was a bit put off, western world with cultivation, seems nice, but it quickly showed that it was only the protagonist that was western the rest was rathern eastern, but after some peculiar interactions the setting arrived where i wanted it to be and it fit there very well. A strong point of this novel is the development of the Protagonist not really being in controll of his life. That is without a doubt because the author was not really good at writing stuff like that, but with the increase in the Protagonists power and the authors experience the Protagonist was more and more influatial to the plot, and not just being dragged along with it and to be frank, he was not a proper protagonist but a mere plot-device. This gradual change was not only appreciative but also indicative of the authors growth as a writer and the protagonists power/experience. The author also supprised me, not with plot twists, but by clever use of artifacts and spells, that gained from deeper meaning and function, without feeling out of place, like the protagonist i realized the world had more depth, other novels i read only ever expanded instead of making proper use of established materials/powers etc., making past moments seeme a bit more meaningful, i can say without exaggeration that reading this novel has defined my taste in novels and i am still looking for works that can match such progression, i know the author would like to rework earlier chapter but would not mind if they were kept like they were, proofing his growth as a writer to anybody willing to give this novel a shot. interestingly enough i have found a review criticising the fact that the mc was not overpowered or the object of lust of many women, destroying their sense of imersion and ability of projecting themselves in the mc's shoes, everyone has their own taste but that one just left me awe struck as i couldnt even imagine what kind of irritated person would write something like that as a valid critique
