Gotta be honest, Jin woo is a pos. This far he’s only made selfish decisions this entire novel. He has yet to do anything for anyone else that didn’t directly or indirectly benefit himself. His best friends dad comes to him for help and he sentenced him to death essentially because he’s afraid of what kind of man he would be or what kind of attention he would get. Who could possibly threaten him or his family at this stage apart from the national level hunters? What could they use against him and what kind of attention would he get that he doesn’t already have? When you really think about all that has happened this far in this novel is Jin woo really all that great of an Mc? He is a bad@ss to be sure but he’s also selfish, self centered and self serving. He won’t lift a finger if he doesn’t think it will benefit him in some way. As evidenced by the fact that he still hasn’t made a move to help Japan despite having the strength to do so. He doesn’t even have to lift a finger. He could just send his army over. If they die then so what, that’s just a little mp lost and he can send them back when his mp comes back. He just chooses to sit back and watch those around him suffer and if Jin ho or chae in never forgive him because he stood by while their loved ones suffer then that’s his burden to bear.

A lot of people are griping about how Jin-Woo is selfish, and a lot of people are saying that he's a POS. Honestly, I feel like if the majority of you were in his position, you'd probably do the same, simply because you would have started out incredibly vulnerable, having to constantly look after not just your own well-being, but also the well-being of your immediate family. The majority of you wouldn't put your money where your mouth is, so you can all go and stuff it. He has EXTREMELY LIMITED RESOURCES, that elixir cost a lot of effort to get, and he only had 6 to begin with; he now has 5 remaining. It makes sense that he'd want to hold onto them in case something happens to his family. In fact, that's been his main purpose the majority of the time: PROVIDING FOR HIS FAMILY. He gets stronger to protect the people he cares about, and he's not a philanthropist who has no sense of self-preservation. You can find that kind of mc anywhere, but Jin-Woo is different. He doesn't charge in without some form of a plan, if he can help it, he doesn't try to save everyone and risk his own neck in the process, he is thrifty with his resources. I repeat: those of you who are bashing his mentality probably aren't intelligent enough to understand his decisions, and in his position, those of you saying that you'd do things differently probably wouldn't put your money where your mouth is, so shove off.

Kind of disappointing he didn’t give the father the cure. But also makes sense. Myung made Jin-Woo’s arrival too public. People would put one and one together if Myung was cured shortly after meeting Jin-Woo. That’s attention he doesn’t need.

Now let me hear from those that keep saying the previous chapter was not a filler. DAMNED RIGHT it’s a filler, like your whole existence is a filler.

idk why ppls are butthurt by the mc decisions.. its human behaviour to keep themselve on the top of the priority list.. Do you go save a random walking by person or save yourself? will you sacrifice yourself for someone who you don't even know properly? its common sense.. and common behaviour ... nothings outta ordinary here..

This chapter made me drop this novel, his action did not justify his reason and in this chapter, he declined to help the person that support him more than most of the people out there. maybe in some future chapter he would decide to help the Chairman Yu but his decision in this chapter made me hate him. It makes me think that this novel is purely for self satisfaction and not for a great story telling. Good bye OILU, you will not be missed.

The man already beg you and tried everything. I'm pretty sure if your Secretary knows this, he will also beg for his father. Think about how you felt to your mother when he is ill. I'm sure that is how your Secretary would feel SO STOP BEING A B*TCH.

Jin-Woo is starting his corruption it seems. Perhaps the Shadow Sovereigns memories were lost or failed to fully merge with Jin-Woo because of the team of hunters sent to save him. This means that only Jin-Woo’s personality is going to be affected by the black heart, and that means Jin-Woo really was saved by that group of weakli- heroes.

If the chairman's son asked for the cure it would be freely given. Arrogance.

The reason he doesn't give the cure doesn't make sense. Especially considering who is asking for it A Person who has been in your corner for half this book is the family to someone you care about and you just say no? I understand keeping people at arms length but that's just being a dick Also if you want to punish the Japanese hunter association that's fine;go over their HQ and kick butt But letting random innocent people die for no reason When you have the power to do something is shameful. He could literally send his op dragon over there While taking an afternoon stroll and be done with it He's father would be disappointed smh

Why are u guys somewhat disappointed that Jin Woo didnt help Jin Ho's father? Even I would not use something that can heal anything easily. Just for a cheque, not just that but they are almost strangers. Jin Ho's father doesnt contribute anything to save the world, why waste it? And he isn't really gonna die, he's just sleeping.

What he knows about the chairman is that he kicked Jin-Ho out when he chose not to be a part of the Yujin Guild, he doesn't know what he's like to really help him out, AND he doesn't know for sure if he's sick. It's better to wait and then help anonymously, I think.
