That said, I'm really happy to have it accessible on this app, because as much as I love BlueSilver and Wuxia Translations, their format isn't the easiest to read on my phone. To summarize the meat of this story, this is the first in a massive series of novels within a single world. Tang San and his companions are gifted with heaven-sent abilities and luck, particularly Tang San himself. Their path to godhood is in no way a surprise. What is a delightful surprise however is that the battles are exhilarating even when you can guess the outcome. The characters grow really well as they age and gain experience, and the side characters are delightful - my favorite being Poison Douluo Dugu Bo, who has a really quirky friendship with Tang San, who is nearly 70 years his junior. The humor is also really spot on, especially when you re-read the story. The female main characters and all female opponents are predictably annoyingly gorgeous, but their personality quirks make up for it. Xiao Wu and Liu Erlong for example are bloodthirsty little savages. This is one of the only Chinese novels I've read where the men in their lives regularly battle for them due in large part to fear for their opponents well-being - not unlike the opening scene from Index. The author also contributed a huge amount of effort to world-building. It can get a little tiring sometimes to hear lengthy explanations for who get what Immortal herb and why, etc, but it's still valuable for setting the tone. Also, despite being OP, the characters really do put in a lot of visible effort and pain to achieve their goals. There are several very emotionally touching scenes, and the face slapping is generally very funny, rather than irritating. Given you suspend disbelief for a Cultivation world, the challenges, triumphs, etc are all fairly believable. The logic is, you know, mystical, but you can still follow it and accept their rules are different due to AU factors. Like many Chinese novels, it is super long and I have gotten tired twice and had to restart months later. I haven't even gotten to any of the other novels in this series! But it's my third read-through now, and I'm actually enjoying it more than the first, so hands-down five stars!!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟😉

It’s amazing how Tang San grows in the story. Apparently based on the continuation of this novel Tang San and everyone else become “god”. Tang San is super evil towards his friends sometimes which makes this novel funny. They have a great background story for the characters the story often focuses on. There is a lot of action making this novel interesting. It captivated the readers and each character gets their own romantic ending. The romance of each of the members of Shrek’s Seven monsters develops over time. Great story. Please read it and be patient. I recommend it to you if you love funny and romance with dense characters and a bit of action.
