A very beautiful story, where the consequences of having much-desired superpowers are showcased. Also, a girl comes out of her shell and makes a true friend along the way. A pretty high-school romance/friendship read.

This book was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't even say how much I loved it. ❤ I love the two main characters. Ivy is a bit like me. In the world but kinda separated from it. Even when people are around me, I still feel very lonely. I can't even envy Ivy and Carson's love. I don't think I deserve being loved that way😭 I didn't mean to get emotional tho. Keep it up. I love it.

Looking back, I can scarcely believe that this story is only just over 100 chapters. It feels like so much happened that it has to be longer, even though I just binged it and its sequel in the last couple of days. It’s a fantastic tale of the personal struggles that supers would go through in a world of mundanes. Rather than the social issues I more often see explored in comics, this focuses more on the emotional and physiological issues that would crop up. (I’m aware that those do get explored, but I’m not as familiar with the comics that do so.) The jaded telepath, the blunt speech of a man who can’t lie or be lied to, the pain of a mother watching a child suffer from seemingly nothing, the near-death experience from a brain in overdrive, the guilt of those who can’t control their powers, the degeneration of a psyche that can’t handle power, the way a simple smile can change history and save lives… And at the same time it’s just about a boy and a girl falling in love. They have unique struggles, and they muddle through as best they can. Friends come and go, fears and obstacles crop up, and two humans find each other in all the chaos that is life. It’s beautiful. There were a couple of times where it went darker than I expected, and, given my disposition, I shed maybe more than my share of tears. Personally, I believe that enhances the overall story, because it’s not just a light-hearted high school romance. The stakes are higher than that, and the histories of some of the characters prove just how high, but it always comes back to the personal level. If any of that sounds like your cup of tea, go for it. See what’s up. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

This story is super amazing, it's not your regular sci-fi or **** romance/drama. It's a totally new genre on it's own and that makes it so interesting

I'm only about 20 chapters in, but I simply can not get enough of the story. The struggles that the main character is continuing to face and the uncertainty she feels all the time draws you in and makes you feel as if you know her. Honestly very surprised by the way this story is turning out. I can't wait to read more!
