When people are surprised, there is usually two options for outcome. First being slow in reaction and second being of acting on your instincts. And our main character seems to be acting on his instincts as there is no delay in reaction when he came out of womb. So, from his instincts one can assume he is courageous and quick witted. Let's see if my assumption is right in the next chapters.

Well its mentioned in the chapter that he couldn't feel his body. But children in mother's stomach often kicks which indicates that the child can feel his body. So, its a little detail which has been overlooked by the author.

This wasn't what I was expecting, you know with all the bashing you seem to get, it's actually really good and if you improved as you continued to write then I'd say your book has good quality.
