I don't get the logic of this story.
What's with Caroline calling Allison Ali as if they are chummy and all. They are not best friends nor even cordial ones in any way. A true friend can never manipulate and do what Allison is doing to Caroline. It is Caroline's involvement with her and her family that got her in such mess in the first place.
Probably, in the end, the author would end the story with how Allison got away with all her crimes and Caroline with Alison and family lived happily ever after. Mtcheww, nonsense!
