The tuxedo wearing man that just so happened to enter the hospital room was no other than my old man. Yey…not!
Better prepare the coffin! Because I will surely be dead when this conversation ends. Hayss!
"How long have you been standing there? Won't you greet your beloved daughter first?" hopefully he forgets about the conversation about Rafael or I could kiss my freedom goodbye!
"Nice try young lady, but you won't fool me," he huffed waltzing in and promptly seating on one of the chairs beside my bed in this spacious room.
"I'll give you two space, call me if you need me. Bye Luna!" Gabi interjected whilst rushing out the door like a mouse who just spotted a cat or better yet a tiger.
"Well, what do you want to know about Rafael? Now that the cat's out of the bag, I have nothing more to hide now do I? So, you may ask away!" I chirped.
"I'm not a rich man for nothing, sweet pie. If I wanted to know something, I would most definitely know it. What I didn't expect was you not telling the truth to me! I'm your father for God's sake!" he fumed.
"Well, what did you want me to do?! Run crying to your lap? I made the mistake, I expect to deal with it myself!" I argued.
"I'm your family Sweet pie! Me and your mom are your family. If you were having trouble you should have went to us! I know your situation is hard but you could have always asked us for help," he answered.
How could I tell him that his his only daughter fell in love with a using bastard and truly became a fool? I couldn't bring myself to tell him that his strong and witty daughter turned out to be an utter fool.
"I'm so sick of this act Dad! I'm starting to truly become the fool society sees me as! I've fallen to the very bottom and I am so ashamed of myself! I don't want to disappoint you more than I already have," I cried.
"Oh Sweet pie! You were and never will be a disappointment to me. Your the best daughter I could ever wish for, and nothing in this world could ever change that. I'm so sorry I didn't know you felt this way, but you could have told me. I could have done something for you. And remember that you will never be a fool to me! Besides, the true fools are the ones who believe what others say about a person and not by judging that someone by getting to know them," he consoled me while hugging me tightly, just like the good old days.
"I love you Dad, but I cannot keep up this act any longer. I'm sorry! Please understand," I sobbed.
I was expecting him to refuse me but he just hugged me tighter and said it was okay and that he understood my reasons. Oh how I thank the lord for giving me this amazing father!
I cannot believe I was able to express my feeling without him not understanding me. Why did I ever think that he wouldn't understand me? How could I doubt my superhero? — my one and only Dad.
Short chapter for today. I hope you liked it! I removed Lorenzo from the scene first so that we could focus on our MF. (He’ll return in the next chapter don’t worry) I’ll try to post a longer chapter either tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. And I would like to thank my beloved readers! We reached 2.2k views! Wahhh! Love you guys! Oh and I would like to hear about your thoughts about our MF! Do you like her? Do you hate her? (Something like that)
