The classic shameless author's review (after 8 months) I really hope you like this novel! To clarify, romance is an important part of it, but the novel doesn't focus only on the main couple's love story. Rather, their love story is deeply affected by what is going on around them. They might need to sacrifice important things in the way. The imperfect main characters and also the side characters are involved in a convoluted plot that might, or not, intrigue you. It has to do with honor, sacrifice, family, fraternal love, intrigue, survival, politics, superstitions, and supernatural... Well, a boiling brew of a story. I guess some will like, and others looking for a romantic couple having only eyes to one another will pass this novel. I'm sorry to disappoint those!

Looking for an absolutely thrilling, adventurous and romantic book to read? Ah, welcome then. 😃 Beautifully written with interesting characters. No single chapter is a waste. Unexpected turns abound. What an absolute gem! I love how the author wove together historical and fantasy elements and gives enough context clues to put the time period around mid-15th century (the “fall” of Constantinople is 1453) and remains historically accurate on weaponry and alliances during this time. Loved the character development and that nothing was so “black and white” in terms of who was evil and who was good. I binged this whole book within 2 days (I pretty much cancelled all my weekend plans to just read it) and I have no regrets. I hope the author one day decided to expand on this universe- the world is so rich I’d love to visit all these characters again!

This is an amazing story full of adventure, romance, ghosts, witches, palace intrigue, and unending love. Don’t miss out on a true gem. Brilliantly paced and executed, after ravenously tearing through the chapters - I find myself missing the characters, and their world. Very few translation type errors that do not effect the quality nor pace of the story. Thank you -Dear Author, your work is a gift 💝

Gripping from start to finish. The characters and world building brought the story to life in a way that was realistic despite the fantastical setting. I loved how multifaceted the characters were and how the novel took a pragmatic approach to religion & beliefs in the face of a predominantly Christian backdrop. Looking forward to reading any sequels or spin-offs to this story so that I can continue to enjoy Alexa/Alina and Magnus’ journey!

Miza - if you ever decide to write a sequel ( even if not same characters), I will be looking forward. Readers - please look past he/she grammar and read this story. This not not your regular WN novel. There is demons, there are ghosts, there is faith, there is good... there is romcom too, if you want..... add all this to mystery and here is your thriller! Look past grammar, give it a try.

After reading 197 chapters, I can tell you that this is no light reading. you really need to concentrate. the characters, the ins and outs, the self thoughts, all spin around each other, sometimes confusing and sometimes exasperating in various dimensions. I must applaud the author for being sane after writing this, a complement I must say!

Could not put this book down!! So good!! Hate Alexa had to die and Magnus had to wait so long to be with her again. Would have loved more to the ending, like what happened to Alexander, Biatrix, and Magnus when he woke up.

You won't be disapointed by diving in this story. Well thought plot and the caracters in it. But don't take my word and check it yourself. 💞👍🏽

This story is very addictive. The main character can find a way out, even if it's not obviously there. The background of the story adds color to the whole thing. It's scary and funny in a well balanced way.

In the midst of so many novels, I found one of the few that is truly worth reading. The story is so unique, you get to travel through time and the church history with the protagonist. It's an awesome book. I'll recommend it anyday 🙌
