Eeeer, vicking are not Spartiate, and where not using kids to fight like that. Only nobility where to learn from young, and not in this crude and brutal way. Vicking where in fact, most than nothing trader and seafarer. The part about robbing and act like pirate was not the predominant one. Why i have the bad unch the "Xis" just want some sort of livestock and are in fact behind the death of the Sun ? Maybe some experiment ? Maybe to create genetic soldier ? Maybe some sort of f*cked-up TV-reality where different civ fight each other ? Whatever it's, i don't think this will go good and happy in this story, right ?

I see some nonsensical comments here from "intellectual" beings and I can't help but laugh. The genre of this novel is Fantasy and not Historical. Stop comparing what happens here with what happens in the Vikings series.

dont know if it will get better later but this is all so halfassed.... the stereotypical things you know about hystoric nordmans nothing in depth

to me i think its alittle over reaction for the broken nose yes i know it hurts alot i even broke a few back in schoolbut those guys didnt cry it hurt them adly but not to the point of crying and their ordinary school kids he on the other has been training for 10 years combat training so there always the chance to get injured so i find it weird or wrong for him to cry over a roken nose the rage is acceptable is a common reaction to the injury but not crying that just wimpy coming from a warrior who was trained since 8
