The biggest weakness of the scientists' endeavor is that they don't understand magic. They either need to find O'Neal, or stick a few scientists into the VR capsules as mages.

Very curious, why hasn't he optimized and attempted water creation in real life? Based on the mechanics of the spell where it draws water from a marker, if it succeeds then that proves this is no game and he could potentially go there when he becomes able to use long distance teleport.
