I don't know if this has been commented on before or if the author has mentioned it but as cool as it could be for this to be a prequel to Fourth Prince, there are a few things that don't mesh like the fact that Clause hinting his first life being from Earth, while it could STILL technically be construed from Clause that he just KNEW the history of earth he specifically mentions "Japanese protagonists from my first life" if this IS supposed to be his first life there are a lot of little things that could go with this story, for instance how he became immortal, a) there is the fox girl who specializes in soul, there are the Devourers that EAT souls and he therefore could use his science to realize his Immortality since his brand of immortality is via the soul.
