literally my only problem with this novel is it doesn't release enough . the story telling us great, and all the characters act like people. not just a background to project the story onto

Solid plot, world building, and dialogue. Where the novel truly shines in my opinion, is the characters though. Hope to see how the novel develops in the future.

I've been reading for awhile now and I got to say I hope it never ends lol it's extremely interesting and feels professional over all a really good book!

Overall this is a well-thought-out story with an engaging protagonist and a reasonable plot progression. The issue I have with it is, however, that the Author repeatedly begs for power stones in the novel itself. This breaks the immersion and makes it difficult to follow the story at times. If you can ignore that though this book is a great read with an entertaining story.

The story premise is great; a lich choosing to be reincarnated because he is *too good* at magic, then purposefully not using that power despite vast temptation to do so due to his nature. Due to this, the MC manages to achieve a delicate balance of trying to stay true to his ideals of learning to fight like a human while avoiding the easier route of using magic to solve his problems, despite a very real temptation to do so. Spoiler alert: he doesn’t always manage to. While you might think a centuries(milennia?)-old lich would be one of those shallow, ridiculously overpowered MCs you see so often in webnovels these days, well, Doevm certainly has the potential to be. But you don’t see that in this story. The MC is fallible, his motivations don’t seem forced, and there are some real challenges as Doevm goes from what is essentially a high-functioning psycopath to gradually learning to adapt and fit in with human society. The characters feel like real people, with motivations and goals that are understandable. Interpersonal relationships are engaging, you can tell the author puts a lot if effort into them, and he does it well. ———//——— As for update stability, I honestly couldn’t say. My impression is that the author updates regularly, if not quite as frequently as other novels on here. It’s a trade-off in quality vs. quantity, and this novel is most certainly leaning towards the former. As for why I can’t be entirely certain about the update stability, it’s because I’ve been stuck on chapter 115 for at least half a year. Not due to a lack of interest, mind you, but I’ve been saving up chapters, gradually dumping my leftover fast-passes into this book to unlock a stockpile of chapters. The story is, in my opinion, most enjoyable while binge-reading, and with the quality of the work I just don’t feel right going to a third-party site instead of giving the author his just income. ———//——— The story development and character design are both top-notch. I don’t want to spoil anything by giving examples, so just trust me on this one. There is character growth, both for Doevm and Frey, his companion. As for other supporting characters, it’s also there, but to a lesser degree due to them seeing less time on-screen (on paper? Whichever works, I guess). ———//——— Writing quality, grammar, etc. are definitely up to par, much better than the vast majority of novels you find on here. Read the story, you’ll be able to tell. Same for worldbuilding. It’s not perfect, but if you can stomach cultivation novels this won’t disappoint you. ———//——— All in all, this book is in the caregory of a must-read in my opinion. I truly believe that this story will one day be up there along with Lord of the Mysteries, Library of Heaven’s Path and the other greats. Give it a shot!

I do not like it if the character adresses in author persona constantly the reader in a setting where he shouldn't. but 5 Stars on character and world building at but only 1 star on the others as a way to repersent what i adressed bevor. I stopped reading after 24 cha. and will not continue, it got really annoying.

This is an amazing story, the whole Lich twist is pretty cool. Kind of wish I didn't start this until way later so that I can binge this story uninterrupted lol. My only complaint is that the author is not a full time author. For more frequent chapters, can I tempt you with some.. powerstones??

amazing book. live to read it whenever there are a good number of chapters. literally the only thing that could be better is release frequency, and even that is not as important in my opinion

amazing novel. interesting premise. love the character development of the MC and his party.slow but amazing world building. hopes it continues.

i like everything about the story for the time being but , those power stones jokes ruined it for me sometimes , went i start to get immersed in the story a power stone joke pops out, it over doing it when you put two or three every chapter, one very 2 to 4 chapters will do the job and be somewhat refreshing.

This is good. I really like how the main character is considered evil but how he doesn't think of himself as evil, I just think that that's a really different way of looking at anti-heroes and it's also really well written and very engaging.

This novel has not just left me with many hours of enjoyment but also many situations where I have to see what's coming next. This novel is so far my favorite on this whole site and I highly recommend.

It's a good novel, the story is interesting. It's not my favorite novel but I don't why I don't love it. It miss something. Maybe, I have the impression that the story doesn't advance. The hero alway makes the same mistakes and the story is a little cliche nothing really new.

There's some typos here and there and some strange phrasing occasionally, but this is a great story that will occasionally break the 4th wall to ease some tension. it's got puns and dumb jokes and asides to help break the near constant struggle, and it's balanced perfectly. I love the story and find the character development, interaction, and fighting and weapon research to be very thorough. the feeling of struggle and of a definite goal throughout, even when goals are questioned or pillars shaken, the reactions always feel in character, or at the least believable reactions. If anything else... I'll just say this... I've been reading on this site for a little over a year, and .of the dozens of books I've read, this is the first book to actually get me to buy coins.

This is hands down the best free book I have ever read in my goddamn life. Nothing even comes close. It's better than most published books and when the series ends I will be consumed by the sobbing of bittersweet tears because ut will mean a small very important part of my life will come to a glorious end. Thank you for gracing us with this and God send. Power Stones Forever!

Well if you are bored congratulation because you will never get bored again after reading this wonderful novel. Plus if you like novels like: Supreme Magus, Birth Of The Demonic Sword, Tales Of Herding Gods, Kingdom's Bloodline, Lord Of The Mysteries, Sword Of Dawnbreaker and The Great Demon System then you will get the same feeling of wanting to read more, believe me and the Author..... 100%.

book is a very good read. develops characters and background really well. would definitely recommend to read this book. not a lot of grammar errors either

So far this book is the best I have read on Webnovel. Our mc, Doevm makes a couple friends and Ticks just about everyone else off while on his mission to learn to do cool flips an stuff, and punch his best buddy in the face without magic. It is amazing. The humor, drama, fight scenes and darker moments are well done and refreshing, the magic and power system is explained organically throughout the novel and not spoonfed to the audience. I don't think there's a single character that isn't well developed either. This book is a gem.
