Title of chapter: Don't take anything from other people.
"Suyaa? Where did you get that from?"
I heard mom's voice behind me. I looked back and saw a big question mark on her face. I was too drowned by the sweetness of the ice cream that I'm unaware about the situation around me. Even three hours has passed, I haven't done eating my ice cream yet.
"The man gave me." I said and looked down to the ground.
I heard mum pulled a sigh. I know what she is going to do.
"What did mummy has said to you, Yaya?"
"…Don't take anything from others if I didn't do anything that is worth a giving." I looked down as I say it and tightened on holding the plastic cups.
"Then why did you take it?" A disappointment in her words makes me feel guilty. I make her sad again.
"I'm sorry mummy…I'm wrong. I hugged her.
Nora's heart is in pain. Suyaa's soft yet gentle voice makes her want to cry. She knows that she should give her more attention. But she is very busy with her work so she doesn't have much time to do that. She then remembered about Alan; her heart became more in pain.
'I need to be a strong hearted person in her eyes. This way, when I gone from this world…she can endure living alone without me by her side.'
"Yaya…wait for mummy here okay?"
"Where are you going mummy?"
She didn't reply but stand up and walked towards the ice cream shop. When I saw her waking away towards the ice cream shop, I get what she is going to do. I sighed because I gave her a problem again.
"Excuse me mister. How much is the ice cream that my daughter took from you?"
The man stopped a while then he laughed. He looked at me before he looked back at mummy.
"Madam, I gave it for free. You don't need to pay me back."
"No. I need to pay it…after all she didn't do anything for you." Nora looked at the clock inside the shop. Its time for working for the next work. Because of she needs to be quick, she looked at the ice cream's price and paid for Suyaa's ice cream. The man was shocked with Nora's action.
"Madam! You really don't have to pay for it."
Nora didn't look back. She has a dignity too. After all, she has to taught her daughter that she can't take anything from other without paying for it.
Mummy take my hands and we walked to her third and last work place today. The ice cream shop worker just looked at us and shook his head.
"The kid will be a really good person in the future." The ice cream worker murmured.
