Falling is all I remember. The air brushing against my body at high speeds until I hit the ground. I woke up with a cold sweat and a loud yell. The birds outside flew away, the flap of their wings getting quieter as they got farther. I was in a Japanese styled room, which was unfitting considering I had a blue hoodie with jeans. I looked around the room and found that it was very empty, other than a small wooden nightstand with a medium sized lamp on it and a chair with clothes neatly folded on top of it and a note that says "Put this on." The fact that I woke up in a room that I don't recognize and then told to put on new clothes makes me think I got way too drunk last night. I fit on a brown looking robe which was kinda baggy but, atleast I didn't trip over it. The door creaked open. I immediately tensed up. It was a girl. I looked at her and then the bed. What the heck did I do last night?
"Impressive, you managed to wake up half of our district with one yell." She said sarcastically.
"Where am I, who am I, what happened and what am I doing here?" I asked.
"Woah, slow down with the questions, come with me, I'll answer your questions one at a time." She left the door partially open. I looked around, there wasn't much to see but I didn't want to leave the room. She popped her head back in the room.
"Come on, I'm waiting." She said. She left once again. Ok here goes nothing. I walked up to the door and opened it. She was standing in front of the open door, I was staring at a far away view of a colossal tree. Birds and butterflies were flying around, people were fighting with each other on platforms, and there was no city for miles, just endless forest.
"Welcome to the Avion Rainforest, and what you are looking at is the grand spirit tree. She said.
"Holy shi-" She cut me off and slapped me in the face.
"No swearing here." She said. I rubbed my face.
"You could've just told me." I said, still rubbing the part where she slapped me. "Where are we exactly?"
"I just told you, the Avion Rainforest." She said.
"I've never heard of this place." I said.
"You'll find out more about this place as you go on. Oh perfect timing, meet Master Shiron, he's the first level teacher for all students." She was talking about a man with a long white beard and a ponytail that was approaching us. I'm pretty sure I hit my head too hard last night.
"Sakura, is this our new recruit we found in the offlands." He said.
"Yes, his name is-uhhh."Sakura stuttered. "What's your name?"
"Oh yeah it's…. I have no idea."I said. I couldn't remember my own name. I ran back into the room. I took my hoodie and read the tag on the inside. It said, Kaito Suzuki. Sakura and Master Shiron walked into the room.
"My name is apparently Kaito." I said. I walked out of the room and down the steps. I saw people training and battling each other. Everything seemed normal until I spotted something in the corner of my eye. Fire was being shot through a fighter's palm. These weren't ordinary fights, these fights are battles against elements.
