this book is one of the best in recent releases. has its own originality, the personality of the MC is pleasant, the construction of the world is particularly well done despite this apocalypse having included gods which I feel makes it more complicated than it should but also leaves a good potential for development, I just don't know if the author succeeds. He did a great job btw

This is really good novel and I usually don't review it but man I think it deserved it. It's a true hidden gem. The story is good, plot is good almost everything makes sense and its new thing it's very different. I recommend you guys to read this.

I don't think that we should make such harsh comments to the autor since from what i can see he a level 2 with not so much experience ( i don't mean to say that having a higher level makes u a better writer neither)

I loved this book at first and I was intending to save it in my library to wait for future chapters. But the thing I hate the most is something that can control people to do something and a βhigher beingβ that caused the apocalypse in novels like this. I like it to be just simple where itβs just βoh wow zombies we need to survive.β I hate this complicated **** where itβs like βGOD DAMN THEIRS A GAIA THAT CONTROLS EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE AND FOR SOME DUMB REASON SOMEONE CANT BE CONTROLLED! MOST LIKELY ANOTHER COMPLICATED PLOT WILL BEGIN WITH ANOTHER HIGHER BEING AND THEY WILL FIGHT AND THIS APOCALYPSE SHIT BASICALLY HAS NO REASON BUT OH WELL I FELT THE NEED TO INCLUDE GODS INSIDE A ZOMBIE NOVEL BECAUSE IM A RETARD.β

I'm not going to say the book isn't good because it is, however the predictability of it does make it boring on some chapters. The MC is so oblivious to some things that it gets annoying. I do like this book though and can't wait to see how the Author improves and what will happen next.

I love the current progression of the story, when he went into the long stretch of training I was definitely worried about becoming over powered, however the author temporarily nerfed him, and I definitely think this was a good idea on their part.

The protagonist...
He is an introvert loner, who cares only about painting and music; then he is not, taking charge and making plans.
He cares for his family, then forget about his sister who should be in the same school as him.
He is a nice guy, that understand cooperation is important, then he is a selfish cold guy that doesnβt want to help his allies, then it changes again.
Then he becomes a ruthless killer with a thing for horror movies antagonists...
The system.
He was about to have a superb ability that would use his artistic talent, but instead the author changed him into a generic xianxia protagonist with swordmanship and martial arts, rendering his artistic talent useless, a simple hobby or at best a copping mechanism.
Instead of the system being slow to start up and give skills, and him finding a loophole to still gain power despite that (like taking advantage of a bug), he is given an op training instant dungeon. He should just have gotten a Supreme training system from the start.

My first impression of this novel is quite good.
The mc is introverted but actually a hidden gem in painting and music. Although he has bad relationship with his step-mom, he has willingness to at least pretend to be happy for her pregnancy just for a happy family. He is quite smart as well. His responses during the the outbreak in the classroom is quite good. But.... All come crashing down after he finish his first system training.
After finishing his training, his and other people personality start changing abruptly+plot is going haywire. He start being a bastard oh so suddenly. He start commanding people like he was a leader abruptly. Where did his introvert gone too? He was training in the training space for 1 year without anyone else and i don't think his shy and introvert personality can be reduced/gone during that time, in fact he should have become even more introverted and maybe crazy due to doing nothing else other than training and sleep. Where the heck do mc gain martial arts like muay thai? Did the training space provide it or the mc have knowledge about them? Just to be honest training martial arts NEEDS a teacher/sparring partner. Its impossible to learn by just following how shadow moves or from memory due to the need of direct experience. Its also impossible for mc to have learned it before because if he do martial arts, his body will get stronger due to the strenuous movement it does which is impossible due to his skinny body(you cant remember this thing without direct experience)+martial arts experience doesn't mean combat experience. Someone who can do martial arts (without direct battle experience) will lose to someone who can fight better. Martial arts in a sense is how to apply force/strength better and stronger while combat experience is to attack, defense, and evade correctly.
Plot wise, when the strategic girl doesn't come back from hunt why mc didn't help her directly? In an apocalypse, you will need all the help you can get + talk about how mc care a bit about her is bull crap when your first response of her in trouble is like that. If he and ice boy go and help her together, the problem will end fast with no problem. Ice boy contempt to mc is still quite understandable but will be more realistic if you add that he also thought mc is a coward for not trying to help her the first time. Oh and so much for caring about his family when he doesn't search for his sister at school at all.
The hotel part is quite nice i do say but wtf is wrong with that girl fang.. Whatever her name is. Suddenly fall in love at first sight to unknown people at the apocalypse??? Yeah Sure.....
At his house, meeting the unwell sister who doesn't go to school can actually be explained better by either meeting her classmate who told him that she doesn't come to school today or checking the massacred sister classroom and not see her corpse hoping in his heart that she's alive. Why the f do her sister post their home address about free shelter in the forum? So much for the so called genius sister. She could have research what happened around their house, prepare defences around the house or do something productive. I know she was under stress, but meeting mc should have calmed her down a lot, enough for her genius brain to think logically. She should not even cared about other people but should have search clues about their parents like news around their office. After all her stress should be about her safety ->her parent->mc. Meeting mc solve the 3rd biggest stress sources and inevitably deal with the the 1st biggest stress source making her parents a priority now.
All in all, there so many thing that's just bad about this novel that my mind have meltdown continuing this review. Too many chinese novel stereotypes like everyone's braindead. This is my first time reading this author work and i do see potential.
Don't take offense, but i do agree that you don't understand emotion and bad plotting overall

A rather well written novel, with a fast character and story build up and well thought out wold build.
The chapters are a bit on the short side as we all just wanna read more and more, but the well thought out development plan and MC's unsocial character and well trained power makes up for the downs as he is not as OP as other characters.

A solid take on the apocalypse genere. As of chapter 36 we are yet to see the MC truely use his ability, which has staggering potential. But that just makes it even more interesting. The story is packed full of action, the character development is a little shallow and rushed but it's still a solid story. There are things that one could nitpick at but honestly a overall enjoyable read.

*sigh, its the same author who wrote a book that was literally written for brain damaged psycopaths. His writing skills are good, and he knows how to add the fantasy element into the story. The fighting scenes are good, and the world seems interesting as well. But his biggest flaw is that he is inconsistent. His MC starts off interesting, but just after a small training arc, he turned into a muscle brained dum dum who has no emotional intelligence, no interesting qualities. Its the exact same copy of the MC from his last novel. They are cold blooded robot like MC who just turns into a silent dictator who wants everything to go his way. The character development is so **** you would be surprised how weird it is. It's like two entirely different people. The other characters in his book exist only to show how cool, how silent and how strong the MC is. They are utterly brain dead. I can see how he has improved from his previous novel, but its still so inconsistent and so abrupt. I am just afraid there will be a scene similiar to the previous novel he wrote. He will probably meet his family and have a great short time living with them. But then suddenly, out of fucking nowhere, his family will probably have gone crazy, and they will manipulate and probably try to kill him or ****. And the MC will kill them in cold blood, and that will be where I will stop reading. I can see that he tried to make the family a bit more distant and the MC has a neutral relationship with them, so that he can kill them more easily this time ππππ. Its really funny that this novel is just an extension of his previous work
