I'm a little confused. The first few chapters of this novel seems Father Su was a good father. Gave his business to his son in law. Proud of his daughter. When Ye Huo shot, he's the support system of Su Xi. Even a confidante when she escaped to the States with her children. Then along the way there's no trust anymore and their relationship getting worst and even had a bad past and hatred? It seems I jumped a big leap from one story to another. Like there's a gap in 2 years time. Though I like this novel, the suspense and mystery. Just feeling a little weird... Now, I was thinking that the real culprit was Father Su. He waited for 18 years to revenge because Ye Huo washed out the illegal business attached to them? Just a thought. And there's another story about Ye Huo's real identity. Perhaps there's a connection between the events...
