I want to write a new review after hitting the 800th Chapter, now that the many twists that are in the story becomes more apparent. The Romantic Cultivator isn't a typical cultivation story and is written with the heroines in mind. For this story, I don't want the heroines to be just vases and they don't have to depend on the MC since harem has a bad name because of this. So, this story starts with many mysteries and schemes by the various heroines. The main plot actually starts after Chapter 200 with hints that of the 3 mysterious 3 divine palaces and of the immortals that are trying to meddle directly. I also want to write about the trials, many trials in fact *laugh*. And also a comedy with a MC that can slap himself, rather than slapping the faces of his enemies (This is too easy to write and there isn't a logic to it with enemies that never learn from their mistakes and keep underestimating their opponents). I also want to write a MC that is already experienced but he is an Anti-Hero like Han Solo who is a typical young master and someone that actually conforms to the rules of the celestial fraternity, rather than be the special one that always break it and everything is last minute cater to the well-being of the MCs. Hence, the stage of a grand story vision that involves the entire cultivation world is set, with the strong being the strong, the weak being the weak. And lastly, this MC will talk alot because he is slapping himself and there won't be alot of of chapters that just talk just great an enemy is while the MC says little to look smart, then have the how great enemy dies suddenly. It isn't a story about the enemies but the MC so there will plenty of dialogues in this romantic cultivation story. It is called the Romantic Cultivator, for a reason, right?

I like this, but the main character seems like "oddly stupid" many times ( all the times I guess). He needs more character development, at least he needs to be more clever, thoughtful and a bit intelligent. I have read till 215 chapters and he still acts more of a stupid than clever, he doesn't comprehend anything, he didn't get a higher level of understanding in his technique by some inspiration or anything etc.. The use of the word "consort" is too much, U can decrease it author. Instead of "Mother consort", u can just say "mother" I guess. And "protege", What does this mean? core disciple? disciple? successor? maybe u can use more simple word instead of protege.

The title is a lie, Ji Yuan isn't a Romantic cultivator.Still a great novel though

This story touches me alot as I am a fan of fluffy cultivation and the good for nothing cultivator. i am a slow convert as the story caters to males and not females. There is alot of romances in the story, exactly as what a heroine will feel and react. It may be hard for the males to feel it but the gals will know. After 200 chapters, there less melodrama and MC is actually more and more likeable. But i actually misses the first 200 chapter alot. if u looking for real romances, fun play and cultivation trials, this is it becos there are no other stories like this because the MC is funny. The con is that the writer not consistent with posting sometimes and when he or she posts, is alot.

Mc is unbelievably stupid. So many misunderstandings and unnecessary problem happen because of his own act. Having an idea about realistic mc is fine but he basically a clown. Mostly event happened so simple, heroines fallin love and forgive mc sooo easily which is contrary with the idea of making realistic story.

lol. This is the best romance cultivation novel in the entire webnovel, if u r here for romances and harem, this is it. I dont want to put any spoiler but the first 140 chapters is just a backstory. I have alot of fun reading this story than most becos the MC objective and goal is very clear unlike most cultivation stories. And the villains are serious OP too. The world development and the heroines are what that really rate tis story highly. If u reading this, u need to have a higher iq than the mc or u will be the one that got slapped for being stupid later 🤐 And i think many dont have to see the twists and the clues.

After hitting 800 Chapters, i must say that JY is the funniest MC without a system/ cheat. You may not like him at start but u love him as u read lol, especially when all my ego conclusions are bust by the multiple twists in this story. The low IQ is actually myself haha. The heroines in the story are so flesh out and memorable. Then i check that this author is a famous author for A Martial Odyssey that i read in 2014 lol, that brings me to cultivation stories. No wonder the romances is so good. This isnt random writing. I just love the romances in this story and have a few fave heroines. Unlike other cultivation stories, the MC dont start off as low level and the world dont have stupid clinches like this young master has a higher cultivation elder and more higher cultivaton level. It is balanced between the strong and weak from the very start. The main plot is also extremely clear and u always know the goals of the mc like a martial odyssey.

I'm having so much fun reading this novel xD the mc is a total delight, humorous and cute because of how naive he is!Even the women are just so hilarious, I love all their interactions >.<MC being put off by his beard was the best part, I re-read the chapter twice thanks to it XDDDHighly recommended !

The review is kind of late. But the writing and the flow of the story really good. The author already write a lot chapter so it is easy to enjoy and won't make the reader wait for too long for new chapter. Im still in early chapter, I will go read more later.

I'm not a fan of harem genre, but the author really did well in setting up the description for certain scene. The dialogue flow well, and the character so far likeable. There's a lot chapter already, so it's really a bonus to binged all the way later. Overall this is really a well written harem novel and deserve more attention and love.

This cultivation has real romances and is extremely well thought of. I love all the heroines here and even the MC. You may not like the MC at start but u grow to like him alot when u know he is really so funny lol There endless trials here.

I was taken by the cover, truthfully. That was not until I started reading the first chapter. It has a good balance between funny and serious. It has a good grasp of the cultivation essence, worthy of a cultivation novel. The vocabulary is high tire while the development is smooth but not rushed. Not too slow either. At Chapter 617 now. The story is extremely fast pace. Best part is MC starts off at almost the top cultivation level but he is poor. While most authors will create a smart MC that are aware of the other MCs and they will purposely be smarter and have all the lucky items, this MC is different. This MC is just being himself and he is weaker than everyone becos he is a sword cultivator. But that the fun part, he even screws himself by lying often, likes to show off, he hates to be green but he is really a likeable and funny MCs that the heroines really like him and poke fun at him.

The funniest cultivation novel in webnovel. I bling it. The path of library is only funny for 200 chs then get boring. This one super funny. Highly recommend to read for jokes and disalogue. Dont read the beard joke. Becos it never exist. The ones that dont like the beards never read this book becos it never exist lol.
