If someone rates the book at 3-4 stars, I sincerely believe that there was an issue with the book. After all, I can’t notice everything wrong, so I will check to see if there can be any improvements. Additionally, I hope that people who give 3-4 stars will specify what problems they see. Also, I would love to have those people to come back and read the altered novel again before finally deciding how they feel. Honestly, I rarely give 5 star reviews and only when I think a book really deserves it. I haven't binge read something on this site for soooo long, and if all the books on here were like this one, I'd have so much more respect for it ;-; Writing Quality: Literally the prologue got me going like 0.0 It was just so beautifully put together? Like I'm not quite sure how to put it to words, but the moment I realized what the analogy was actually saying, I was low-key shook. That being said, there wasn't a single spot in this novel that wasn't beautifully polished such that every word felt like it had to be there. The tensions in the action scenes lived up to my expectations, as did the heart-warming ones. Story Development: If it wasn't for how clear your writing was, I think I would be lost with the switching between memories and reality sorta chapters. But literally because of how you set the mood and tone of the chapters depending on the emotions you were trying to convey, I had no issue going from mindset to mindset. Also, I think it actually made the current picture seem even more haunting with the juxtapositions. Character Design: Whistle. Enough said and more than enough reason for me to give a 5/5 for this. World Background: How do I put this. Not only do you describe the cells in a way that you make me want to punch the people (if you can even call them that) that put them there. But you also describe what seemed to be a utopia before it was corrupted, somehow making me want to punch them even more. Overall, I really want to say that this is a freakin gem. From the superrrr aesthetic cover art to the beautiful analogies and the story itself, I really really wish Webnovel would advertise your story more. Although it's still currently pretty sure, I think this novel would be one that actually somehow made an impact on me considering Webnovel as a platform. I think this is the first story I've added to my library from browsing the forums, but geez I'm glad I did!

Wow, 16 chapters, and I felt like reading a story worth a thousand chapters already. The narration was well-written, especially the actions and the characters' expressions as well as their emotions. All the time, I was either biting my lips or crying. This is a remarkable book that evoked emotions. It was heartwarming to see Kalani warmed up to other people, especially Nyx. Oppss🤭 And his relationship with Whistle, Lucas and waiting for more... This book shows excellent, well-thought plotlines and characters.100% recommended!

I've been reading this story for quite sometime and I must say, I am intrigued by the plot. In fact, the story itself can catch a person's eye. All characters are well-described and different, each with an entertaining personality. Overall, I'll keep on reading and eagerly wait for new chapters!

Solid story, good writing, and good character design. I think the world background could use a bit of work and there could be more of a description of the environmental setting within the story. I think the story has just a few moments within it that run a bit dull for me and the tension build could use a little enhancement (at least from my readings during the early sections of the story). A great story overall.

Love the story so far, characters and the entire world are well thought out and immersive, the writing could take a bit of time to get used to, but it's definitely a good read for people who love fantasy novels.

Memories Like a Dagger is the Best Book Ever! It is really amazing and unforgettable! The quality of writing is far beyond what you typically see in the Webnovel platform. It is possibly one of the best novels I have ever read in recent years. In fact, my first encounter with this book was purely coincidental. It was just another day for me to do a review swap, and I picked this book up just out of curiosity about the way the author advertised in the forum. Now, I'm glad that I did! Seriously, SolAce captivates his readers with his remarkable narration of the story and then manages to entice us more with his beautiful language. SolAce's writing style leaves nothing to the imagination but manages to remain easy to read and often, rather humorous. Every chapter and every paragraph was filled with fantastic descriptive narration. In contrast, the storyline leaves it all to the reader's imagination and keeps us wondering what could have happened next. However, what interests me the most about the book is the author's seemingly effortless jump from points of view. Often we find that an author excels at one particular point of view and not the others. However, SolAce is able to write between them seamlessly. In terms of characters, the book's three initial main characters (Kalani, Nyx, and Whistle) also serve to complement each other so well that they simply could not exist without one another. Their unique relationships were portrayed very well throughout the story. However, in my humble opinion, the weak spot of this novel also lies in the sophistication of the words that the author used. Most readers probably don’t familiarize themselves with some terms that the author used. If the author would like to have more variety of readers, then the author may want to consider using less advanced words. But, if the author targeted a specific audience, I think it is ok as it is. Overall, I want to say that this book is really an awesome book. I like the way the author is writing. The plot is also intriguing and exciting at the same time. I would recommend you give this novel a try. It is definitely worth it! Good Job, Author. This is a stunning novel! I will update the review more of the story as I read it more. :)

Hey author, nice work there. I stopped my reading at chapter 3 but intend to keep going. The story is so nice and smooth, I barely had to make any efforts to read it. The atmosphere is well depicted, that I could see the scene happening in front of me. I liked every aspect of it, and gladly read more when I can. Added to my collection for future reads. When I saw the tragedy tag of this novel, I become afraid of reading it because I not a fan of this kind of novel but I gave it a try and become grateful for this. This story is well writing and appealing, which makes you wanting for more. Great work!

Okay, I was very impressed with the quality of writing here. Whilst the world isn't as vivid as I would have thought, it isn't even an issue in the slightest as the characters literally burst forth. The language used is very good. The story takes a different approach to how it introduces you into this world of winged creatures and magic! It was an entirely welcome change and one that has kept me gripped. A massive well done for what you have done so far author and keep it up, I look forward to seeing how Kalani gets on :D

The way the author writes is passionate and descriptive, and they encapsulate the emotions of a character or a scene so well - they are a person after my own heart. I love how the plot progresses, not to fast or slow, and is really well balanced in terms of dialogue and description. I have fallen in love with the characters and the world, and this book has so much to offer not just for a reader, but a writer as well. This book is staying in my collections as one of my favourites. I will certainly keep reading!

The novel has a very interesting plot and a diverse set of characters. The prologue hooks you in and the story keeps you engaged. The narration, characters, their interactions, and the emotions they display are all to the point. The only reason I am not giving a five is due to the stability of updates. Everything else is well written. Keep up the good work. :D

Honestly, I would have given it a full 5 stars but people would think it's an exaggeration and so I took one star out based on the chapter released (purely from updating stability and and not because of the storyline) Now storyline, I love it sooo much! you managed to keep me on my toes, you managed to draw me in, and every chapter is definitely a page turner. You've got the suspense, you've got the mystery and there's also that plot twist. Oooh I wish you book turned into a movie or a series. Interesting synopsis, interesting developments in the story and very vivid descriptions. The grammar has no visible faults which makes the writing quality flow very nicely. The author obviously has the skills and motivation to make this into a fantastic novel. You know how to create a gripping scene appealing to the reader's emotions. Your writing style has an unpredictable taste about it which can completely catch readers off-guard. I love that. I look forward to seeing how you deal with plot twists if you do place any in the story as I am sure you'd execute it wholesome. You also seem very adaptive to making the novel as best as possible so there is no way I can give you anything less than a 5. Great job and keep up the good work author! An absolutely beautiful story! Incredibly well written with lovable characters and an intriguing plot. I have not yet finished reading this, but I plan on doing so in between school and exams. The visuals and flow of the story simply can't be outmatched. I truly believe this belongs on the shelf of a bookstore despite not being fully caught up on the chapters. I look forward to reading more and diving further into the world the author has built. Love it!

Wow. I had thought that it would just be your regular fantasy, filled with clichés and whatnot, but I was proven wrong. This book is extremely well written. The plot revolves around Kalani, his memories, and his journey to escape the mine. This fantasy is also one of the few rare ones where the humans are the superior, evil ones. This book is incredible I habe to say... The quality of webnovels here are certainly rising. Yet, it saddena me that a gem like this remains undiscovered. Reading it made me feel as if I was part of the world myself. Characters are interesting, the world is unique, but most importantly, it gives me that sweet melancholic feeling, as if I was missing something in the past. thumbs up!

I have complained about the update status, keeping that aside, I loved the narration as well as the story's premise. the title foreshadows the essence of the story and that resonates with me. I loved it and I am looking forward to the story.

This novel is worth my time. Truly enjoyed the work. The concept is exciting and gives you wonderful experience throughout with a unique plotline that is so well constructed and finely executed. About the character development if you ask me they are well tailored with lots of unique charms attracting the readers massively each holding an individual importance. The dialogues are humorously designed pertaining to romance, mystery and adventure. The novel has great potential. Good job author!

First of all, for those who just about to start reading this remarkable story, don't get fooled by the first chapters, because it's darker than it seems. (oh well, maybe it's just me who get tricked, right? right? just me? ok) It's quite difficult to connect two or more "main" plots into a bigger plot, yet you did a very good job there... writing a dreamland that turned out to be a happy past before storm. The plot took place in a world where there's no bound between humans and animals. Animals look like humans, and humans more like an animal because of their sadistic inhuman "hobby" (you'd know later what it means). I really like it, and demand for more chapters!

I'm literally hooked by this story. What an adventure! The slavery and fights between humans and animals captivated me with the way the author plotted out everything. The story development is very well maintained. I highly recommended this book to all readers here. Well done, Author!
