I've read a few chapters and really like the story so far. This is my first fantasy story so it took time to get used to the setting. It's also interesting how this is set in the victorian era instead of medieval. Knight and elves mixed with umbrellas and newspapers is such an interesting concept!
That being said, I have a few comment. First I'm confused about the timeline. There's a lot of characters around the MC and the story jumps for her past to her present and in between so it takes a while to understand what is happening. I wish that the author would include something to indicate when the chapter is happening, at least using 'young' or 'teenage' to indicate the MC's age.
Second, the mix between the use of Moira and Saphrin, the MC's male and female name in the same paragraph can be a bit confusing. It may be the author's choice to indicate which one the character associates with the most but for me, it's confusing. Especially in the first few chapters.
I still don't see where the story will lead to but I'll be sure to catch up to the latest chapter! Good luck author!
I was skeptical when I saw the LGBT+ tag but unlike most other LGBT+ novels this one has a decent plot and good characters that can be enjoyed by anyone regardless of sexual orientation. It was an enjoyable read for me(hetero male) so far and I assume it will be an even better read for people who dig LGBT+ novels.
What I loved the most about this story is how easy it is to be in tune with what the characters are feeling. Not only was I able to understand them but also, I got really invested with them. I think that speaks really positively about the way you built this character and also, the way you describe the story. Half the time I could imagine the scene perfectly. Such an amazing work. Continue!
I love how the author gives a warning from the start of a chapter. It was a good story. And it was a constructive piece. I love this! Update soon author!
A slow burning story with dynamic and real characters, intersecting timelines and a distinct classical western literature feel to it.
There are a lot of characters introduced in quick succession and character building in the first volume, so if that's your cake then this is your story.
