I was thinking instead of him just waiting around for a couple of months he should run to the Fire Nation real quick, go recruit Hama, and bring her to the Northern Water tribe. That way she can get revenge without being a psychopath.

Oh, so THERE IS a reason he is changing. Ok, i like this. Can he fix himself, or is it permanent? Can it get worse? Does it has benefits? Or is it just a burden? I mean, he should have been changing gradually so nobody noticed until now. I don't think somebody like Sakura would have staid silent if she had realised he is becoming colder, and Yue would be even more worried since she herself has connection with spirits like him.
