MC is able to cultivate using that lightning (it's just another energy source to him). The same applies to other things. The characters aren't believable. Few might be quirky, but they aren't believable. You can find young masters in this novel, even their fathers coming for revenge, after that, grandfathers. MC is sociopathic: alone all the time, doesn't talk at all basically, doesn't trust people (literally gives a trust scale of 0 to 5%), kills without batting an eye. It gets annoying how much he avoids social interaction. He's also oblivious when needed (and it doesn't even make sense): MC figures out how to directly use energy source A to cultivate, depleting it totally, which he knows about. Person B: Energy source A collapsed! MC: What? Why? (honest questions) In tags, this would be: strength-based society overpowered protagonist cold-blooded protagonist loner protagonist sociopathic protagonist "compassion doesn't exist" young masters arrogant people ... On the plus side, the cultivation system is neatly described, without too many specifics and numbers.

An amazing novel, love how the author uses names from his nationality instead of the usual Asian names. I haven't caught up with the book but from what I've read the characters and plots are exciting and thrilling, and I'd like to see more. I hope the author doesn't give up his work πŸ™

This is one of the books I found early on when I started reading web novels. the fact that I stuck with it this long show how much I like it. The relationship between the teacher and the student captivated me and the capabilities of the student hooked me. But now, There is no teacher student, just teacher, a piece of rock for a student, and two of the most disrespectful Duo in any book. The energy manipulator I understand they had a beef in another incarnation, but the girl, I hate that woman. when everybody in the mist is losing something (Nti Anem) find themselves (Ed & Tie Nse). The girl is getting more arrogant and spiteful, while gaining without loosing and using the mist so no one can question it. Really, is creating a religion that spans across realms all it takes is to create a sect/cult. After all she just gave 14 people means to be powerful and nothing else. The Duo kept me but now without the Duo, all I've got is one guy I like being the butt of a joke for two of novel most spiteful/disrespectful characters, and to make matters worse, he's not the main character that he'll come out of it stronger but just a side character even less than the spiteful Duo.

As of this review, I have read up to chapter 102. Thus far, the story has been phenomenal. No complaints here. I thoroughly enjoy the methodical approach when it comes to explaining the backstory. The pacing sits very comfortably between unbearably slow to the point that everyone forgot (ex. Hey guys, remember this small detail about 350 chapters ago? Martial God Asura, I’m looking at you...) and way too fast to where the backstory feels like an integral parallel format of the novel. Very well done. My one and only HUGE gripe about this work is the grammar and spelling issues. They are not too common, but just plentiful enough to make you reread portions of a chapter. Big no no. 4.4 / 5 Keep up the great work, author-san.

A really interesting story, but somewhat vague. I am not 100% certain about the whole story background, but hopefully, we will receive more information as the story develops

Let me start off with that I really enjoy this novel, and have fully caught up atm, 200 chaps. I personally enjoyed this novel much more than others because it keeps a lot of mystery and draws my intrigue. This is due to the main character. The author has written him completely differently from other mc's in other novels. Just as you think you're going to understand him and his actions, it will change. I think this aspect is what sets the novel apart from others, as it feels like you know the mc but you don't understand him, which means you don't fully know what he will do at all, and it's always a surprise. Another great part of this novel would have to be the world it's set in, as the mc goes to many different places. All the places have different rules, and sometimes even different 'laws'. The author being able to create so many new environments, and journeys through them I have to praise. Most places arent explained fully until afterwards, making me understand the reasons for certain occurrences in them. This is even so for where they are rn (chap 200), on a strange train, however I find this mystery refreshing from other novels where you never have to guess, or think much, with authors just giving everything to you. One of the main premises of the story is the most, and how it affects the mc and people around him. We don't know what it exactly is, however one of the mc's companions knows many things that he doesn't explain. All in all, it's a complicated novel, and i feel that that can put alot of people off, but I prefer the complexity after reading so many generic, martial arts / cultivation novels. I would recommend this novel to those who enjoy mystery, and a breath of fresh air. I wish the author could write more often :(, because I'm constantly waiting for new chaps. Anyhow, I love this novel, and keep up the good work author πŸ‘

Oh boy here we go. This nivel would deserve 4 stars if not for the bad grammar, although light novels are not measured with the same weight as full books publications, is still a big factor. The plot has its degree of originality, the secondary and antagonist characters are neither all smart and sly nor stupid and agraseve but instead they are a balanced combination of both, like in real life, there is not shortage of idiots that take actions based on instad gratification or pride, but there are also people that will think before acting and realize the benefits and dangers of situations, instead of throwing theur life loke idiots to the MC. MC is not bad, just that his apathic personality is not for everyone taste, he came to the current world when he was on a mission, he had a life and purpose back home and he wants to return, so he doesn't attach much to the people in his current world, he stopped giving a F. The world setting is quite original, yet a bit messy to understand, but I like that instead of a info dump of 5 paragraph describing the world, we get to understand it on information bits placed through the narrative, itbfeels more natural and makes sence, info dumping is something many LN and WN writers do, delivering block of info needs to be properly done or it will negatively impact your work. Finally, update stability is, well, could be better.

Let me start off by saying that i really like the premise of this story and the characters in it. the only issue i have is with the author making everything vague and even saying it will remain that way because this is basically a side story of her published book. Now i took a look at the book but it didnt interest me because the MC is a woman and i only like reading male lead stories. This is really sad because i really think this could have been one of the greats if it was just treated as its own book rather than a side story. There aRe decent grammatical and spelling errors which are off putting and the structure of the chapters suck at times since there are no inidcatuon of time passage or author notes at the end of the chapter like you see with other novels. Sadly im dropping this after 106 chapters. it was fun while it lasted.

The world’s really interesting, I love the mystery of it, and the mist gives a legitimate reason for the protagonist to be so indefferent. Unlike other novels where he just seems edgy. I also like how the author handles the overpoweredness of the MC. Finally, his ruthlessness is great, I find it annoying when the protagonists never kill or just let their enemies go away just to give the author reasons to make higher realm enemies target him. This story also give the much needed situational awareness that so many enemies lack in cultivation novels, like when the elders of the demon lands clan banished his ancestor for targeting the protagonist I was extremely surprised. Keep it up author!

this is a great story if you are into a more complex, metaphysical world. Many times you don't know exactly what is happening but the author does it in way that you don't mind.

Despite some minor typos in the synopsis, this Novel proves to have quality writing and an engaging story despite the occasional typo or misplaced word. The Novel uses a somewhat unique take on transmigration, a Mc rather stoic in disposition as well as constitution, and an eccentric master that walks the line between genius and total insanity. 15 chapters in and I will definitely keep reading.

Really interesting so far, the world is somewhat unique but also has enough common elements to make it easy to understand. The protagonist is fairly interesting as well as the somewhat different direction of the story. The only two flaws are some spelling mistakes and that some pf the charecters are cliche’s.

absolutely loving this one so far, the author makes a great job in immersing the reader with his amazing world building skills as well as story telling. the story flows smoothly without any sort of grammatical mistakes to be spotted. as you read further and further youll fall in love with the lovely, cheerful, and well written interactions. but at the same time the book is not limited to one tone, it can be serious when it has to be, with intense scenes as well as exciting ones.

hi guys, it is your author giving a shameless review. Thank you for trying To Walk The Mist. You will find that there are two versions of the book. This is because I got signed and the editors pulled this magic. The other is the older version that I had to delete the chapters and leave all my hard earned reviews and ratings behind. So please don't be shy to leave a review and save this author's pained soul.
