I love this story so much, it certainly satisfies my craving for an adult syled fairytale, while the 18+ moments are just right, not too much and not too little either. This is a well written and unique fantasy with a modern twist. All of the characters are relatable and interesting. The world setting is beautifully detailed and modeled after England around the Victorian era but in a fantasy world. As it is a fantasy world some things that appear in this story may seem modern and others may seem archaic, but that's the beauty of a fantasy setting, you can do whatever the heck you want!! The author makes sure to keep things interesting and funny. The love story between Charlton and Serena is so sweet and romantic you just want to melt into the arms of Charlton and claim his as your own! (though Kylo's not a bad catch either 😉) Anyway as I'm rambling, I kept putting off this review cause I was just so invested in the story and needed time to digest it all. At the time of writing, I have read up to chapter 270. So rest assured I can garuntee you'll love this unique and beautiful fairytale with outstanding characters and story. 💯

After reading more than 300 chapters: My review: For those that has read as far as I did will either carry on with the story or leave.😅 “ I am staying”. 😄 For the new ones coming, I can only say that this a story where all can happen and what is perfect doesn’t mean it actually is and we only realise once we move on, enjoy the sweet moments and prepare for the actual journey. 😉 When we are young we love with our all, we make plans as if there is no tomorrow and this is Charlton and Serena a beautiful love story but can it survive all. ??? *** Geoffrey from the beginning not gonna lie I didn’t like him, later on he was actually a nice person, but all changes when he finds out he was Betrayed by his own cousin with his fiancee.😣 How far can you go because of the pain your love ones left on you and what does that pain makes you do. I am team Gerena 😈😅( Geoffrey & Serena) she isn’t better than him and he isn’t better than her, I skip them for not who he was but for who he will be after all his revenge (sorry I love yandere😅) things are going to be messy but extremely exciting, you know what happens after the storm. ⛈ 😆 “Not my own words”. “It’s Hard Is it letting Go Or Not letting Go Charlton and Geoffrey”. Only one will win.

Hi everyone. This novel is marked completed and the sequel is now serializing. I believe that this novel is true to its title because the SML did fall for our villainess although they did not ultimately end up together. Volume 1: fun and light hearted how they fell in love. Volume 2: charlton starting to take steps on how he can have serena rightfully in the future. Volume 3: set 2 years after, Geoffrey finally figures our everything and he takes measures. Serena ends up marrying him (you can treat it as end of this novel already to make way for the new one) Volume 4: geoffrey and serena’s married life (you can treat it as side stories for this one but it has a purpose supposedly but i think there’s no more need to elaborate as we will see everything unfold in the sequel) So now, i wish to thank everyone who supported me in this novel and hope that you will continue to do so in the sequel. I think not a lot of previous readers would be able to read this but to new readers, well, enjoy the ride!

I really love this novel. It made me feel all kinds of emotion that I can't even describe. The journey had a strong impact for me and made me feel things I wouldn't have in other novels. To this day I still remember the joy and laughter in the beginning, frustration along the way, the guilt and regret as she made mistakes and the loss at the end. It's a novel that makes me think about what-ifs if she could start again. Though the CP is a**, I'm not ashamed that I'm his fan 🤧

I don't know but I don't like the story. How can a male like this. And the female lead is the real dumb character. No stability and loyalty in a romantic relationship .What a wasting story. The real male lead is too pitiful in the story .he deserves someone better who loyal to him.

Liked the beginning parts towards the ending not so much

Although I love the story, I can't accept the endgame, I can't continue with the story for my heart is for Cherena, I'm just to narrow minded for this, although I dread that it will happen (them not ending up together) due to Serena's Mother first love is Duke Charles, but end up with someone else, I don't know if it was a hint, but for me, its a dead give away. Though I read half the story I still can't proceed it with anymore my heart will always be with Serena and Charlton being together 😭😭😭😭. (Nevertheless I love the way you write 💚)

I'm messed up inside. This thing made my tress level rise. Cherena team was the one I cheered and this gave otherwise. SML deserves better ending. If deemed impossible then please mess thing up into threesome or reverse harem hehe

I would like to comment on future plans 1 the fact that Serena would still have the same feeling for crown prince even after knowing the whole truth doesn’t sit well maybe you plan to show case her true at vol 3 but it’s as strong as am predicting 2 the reason why I don’t her want her feelings to remain the same is obvious coz then he is the bad guy more than charlton 3 three we want to see apart where serene really fights to get back the trust of charlton coz he is the most miserable in the last vol neither did he fall for someone else truthly… not just seducing him or her son bringing together.. for hurtfull they went through I want them to have more heart to heart connection and just not physical 4 I want Serena to see what kind of man the crown prince was despite her feelings for him and not just romantize him even after act he pulled through 4 is a request if Serena doesn’t release that she loves charlton more then I really won’t see the point she will get to together with … I don’t want her to use him as rebond as she did with the crown prince at the start nor I would like to see them having moments like old flame couse I want to see their love as strong one that even after separation remains pure

I'll be totally honest, first disclosure I actually read this on a different site, i hadnt realized this was on Webnovel and i lowkey glad I didnt pay for it. I found the completed novel and finished what has been done for all 3 volumes. the novel starting off was perfect, I was skeptical of Charlton and didn't like him much at first. But the author moved the story perfectly, the reader falls in love with the Serena and Charlton and gets wrapped up in their romance and has set up the whole story of how they will disband her current engagement and overcome it all. I was absolutely sick to my stomach at the turn this story took, having her drugged and raped for a week because of the obsessive and manic crown prince was horrible to read and then to have to see her fall in love with him made me disgusted. I literally had to skim the last few chapters of volume 3 because of what was happening, no matter how awful the Crown prince was treated growing up I will never sympathize with him as a character. He groomed her body for a week to react to his, drugged her for hours on end, and got her pregnant while she was drugged/raped. There is nothing that I can read that will make that okay. sorry author I know its your novel and maybe all of your novels have such a gut wrenching twist to it like this but I've never had a story actually make my stomach turn. Usually I wait it out and read the full novel giving it a chance but this is my limit.

*SPOILER AHAEAD * So From the reviews I gather that Geofree is actually the yandere(I lovee yanderes ) which was to my utter surprise cauz from all the free chapter that I gobbled up in one go I don't like him at all and I am in love with the other guy and I want to cry and die at the same timeee now. This pain is of similar caliber to attack on titan after ss3 depression The fact that I am so emotional right proves that this novel is actually really good ....bye I shall read some fluff naw to cure the depression

Some may find our MC unfaithful or what but as you know, life even in fairy tale is not smooth flowing. And readers should remember that Serena is originally a villainess so that makes her act not as saint. And for Geoffrey, of course he deserves it, after all he is the original male lead in the novel Serena's granddaughter wrote. Also his love for Serena is more than he himself can imagine.
