I've read up to Chapter 50 so far. The story is pretty good. There re lots of reasons to complain though. It's like readers have a love/hate relationship with this story, but can't let it go because we ALL want to know what happens next!
As for how it is like, You know how Cultivation type stories are right? Well this is like that only instead of spirit qi its mana and instead of dynasties, it's nobles.

This novel pretends to be about magic but it's actually just your typical immortal cultivation novel disguised as a magic novel. The power level terms used are magic related but other than that it's literally a immortal cultivation novel. The author knows nothing about magic so it is literally a amalgamation of terms from magic novel and power system from immortal cultivation. If you take away the magic terms and replace it with immortal cultivation terms you would realize this novel is literally garbage dump.

This novel needs proofreading. The quality is low. And they go premium at chapter 41 when others outstanding novel wait after chapter 100. The idea was interesting but the quality of the plot and the sub-standard quality of the translation don't deserve a good notation. You can that's this light novel follow the classical tyrannical and low-key MC to the letter, and the originality of the start is just a gimmick. You will be bored quickly

an actually good novel with no racist trash the mc is smart, the way they present the story of his continent is actually very good dont let the title deceive you he does practice alot but most of that practice usually happens in a timeskip so no boring stuff, in the start they dont focus much on the mc but later on its all about him honestly better than most trash novels on voting

I really like the story but I have to give it a lower rating because a lot of the chapters don't flow right, you'll have one thing happening at the end of a chapter and the next one just goes off some direction completely off the wall making absolutely no sense what so ever biggest one I can name off hand is from 159 to 160, she killed all the performers and the next chapter is talking about a technique no congruence in the flow what so ever, other than that great story

worst thing ever cultivation level were apperantce Magus, Magus, Grand Magus, sage, Great sage those what were known then sometime change to enchanter instead of magus we can pass that then again after 130 chapter you remove grand magus from cultivation level ??!!!! seriously a complete mistake an absolute plunder at that no matter what sage stage being in fourth level was barely acceptable now it become third bah sorry guys but if you want just read 100 chapter then close story future is done

The book started out fine and the translation was ok. But after 10 to 15 chapters the translator start to change terms/ was inconsistent with terms and just started using and ones he's been using. I could not continue and had to drop the book.

Is basically the entire story. A story of this level doesn't need much but it fails even in that. A basic cultivation story with tier levels name swapped. MC is not a spell caster but a meathead that uses a sword. He rarely uses a staff just because the """spell""" is more powerful with it rather than a sword. Translation needs an editor badly as well.

Trash. Seriously out of order chapters that still havenβt been corrected after months, and the pace of the novel slowed down to a glacial creep with him now spending 30+ chapters doing nothing but demonstrating his constantly growing repertoire of OP silly magical techniques to audiences. Itβs exhausting trying to keep up with all the techniques the system gives him at a drop of a hat, and listening to the constant descriptions without him using them in fights is the worst kind of info dump. Then thatβs the fact that the plot is childish, but you can read about that in other reviews.

Pretty straight forward but I like it. Mc is crazy op and calm which makes it fun read. There are some girls which looks like a harem but im not too sure. Recommended if you like OP mc with straight goals.

MC is transmigrated, and is confused by it for a solid 2 minutes. Suddenly finds a system, doesnβt blink an eye, and upon waving his staff he is awarded OP rewards. Again, he doesnβt blink an eye. Clearly there is NO balance. No realism in this fantasy world.

Translation and flow of story becomes horrible. Major chapters after 150 are messed up and some of which makes no sense. it was as if the translator created his own interpretation like what happened to the novel on "I can see hidden Hints".
information and flow of story is messed up, especially on lifespans and the terms used to describe per stage. one moment it's 3000 years, the next it's 500, then the next time it's 1000.
disappointing, as it had a lot of good potential. do not waste time past the chapter where he becomes the Eastern Emperor, just end it there for your sakes.

I give this story 3 stars. The main character is too overpowered too quickly, showes no evidence of hardwork. Character development is decent, translations is great with maybe 1 typo every 5 chapters.

Really just not worth reading.
Translation quality is one of the worst I've seen. A child could edit MTL better than this. Frankly, a child would do a much better job. Names randomly changing, cultivation stages names also changed 3-4 times within the 40 chapters I've read and just generally really bad all around.
Character design in Chinese novels is as per usual bad. MC swore to someone he considers his father to protect his daughter after he dies, and MC completely abandons her not even a chapter later even after he hears she wants to start gaining experience not even after breaking through the first realm of cultivation which is just reverse plot armor as in forcing certain scenarios to happen without actually building up to it. He had plenty of ways to keep her safe like asking the sect master to make her a core disciple or just take her with him.
Didn't like story development either. It started off pretty nice but everything came out so randomly and together with the confusing and shallow world background (mainly the cultivation system was confusing) it just wasn't fun to read. The numbers he has to repeatedly train his basic sorcery are completely random. He can get a reward at 110 and then the next one will come at 500, the author even gave out a number of how many times he can train a day and didn't even keep up with that as he went almost instantly into a time skip and completely ignored that and gave a random number he supposedly did within the time skip.
TL;DR - Awful translation, MC contradicting himself, shallow cultivation system and story development that appears to be completely random caused me to drop this at Ch.40.

To be honest it isn't bad. I would say I could be 3.5/5. There are bunch of similar stories on the internet and when you see clichΓ© after clichΓ© then it becomes boring. But then comes translation. If it was completely free, then I wouldn't mind such low quality of translation. But people pay for this. If I wanted to have problems with reading, then I would have just read mtl. There is no consistency in names of ranks and some sentences are very hard to understand because if problems with mistranslated words.

I tried reading this novel since it was displayed on my screen and got the banner feature, but I have to say... Pretty disappointed. What's it with TL novels these days. Even the reviews alone discouraged me before reading it. I believe this novel could have gone a lot better if the author put more work into plot and not power exaggeration
