It's a great book... The first bits was a little confusing without the context provided but it was clarified later bit by bit. The execution of providing the context of the past of the MC is magnificent. It was released bit by bit and is making more and more sense as you know a piece. It doesn't overwhelm the reader with information that they will forget and make it an enjoyable read. The main character has a great personality. He has hidden pasts that is mentioned bit by bit and makes him look complicated but also simple. He is a deep and complete character. Even without context to the original Book, it would be enjoyable to read. The humor of this story is well timed and actually funny. It will most likely a hit more that a miss. So it's pretty funny. I also love that the mc's world is different from our world and he doesn't know anything about Soul Land so their interactions are more life like and natural. To be honest, I can't find a fault on this book.

Alright, as an author, I didn't write the first review and waited. This is the tenth review and will get me my official rating. I rate it a five star because I selfishly want the highest rating however I encourage honest reviews even if they can be sometimes discouraging. That's it, I hope all of you enjoy the fanfic.

I have read until chapter 86 and I'm just a normal reader so this is just my view : first thing first I like the interaction between Ja Sun(MC) and Other characters be it his friend(to be ) or teacher and enemies, secondly the story also flow smoothly with additional jokes that make me laugh for a minute or two, the pace of the story is quite good for me not too fast not too slow, the author keep answering my questions if there's something that I forgot from Douluo Dalu's novels so I don't have to reread Douluo Dalu to know some details. the side characters development is quite splendid, ah.. as a warning this is an AU so their personalities is not quite the same, but I think this is ok, since this story starts a decade before Canon, and we don't know how the original characters(like people from spirit hall, or Tang clan, etc) from Soul Land 1 behave a decade before Canon, so for me I like it, it gives more personality and characters development since MC enter their live. as for something that quite a put off happen the earliest to middle chapters is about MC that didn't kill his enemies, or refrain from killing his enemies if there's no immediate benefit from his Traits or something else, MC is not someone that keep killing his enemies like usual Chinese MC to cut the root, but you could read Author's Notes in synopsis about that as it concerning MC's background from previous live and his dislike that he said in earliest chapter, there will be a little flash back that will explaining about that later so just read until 80 chapter I promise that you will get Hooked.

Too many power ups to enemies, I guess not to nerf the MC, but that's the same thing.

This fanfic has one of the most interesting, hilarious, spontaneous, and meticulous MCs in all of fiction, who is undoubtedly at the top of my MC tier list as of currently. The main contributing factor may be that he isn't as bloodthirsty as the other MCs across fanfics or other wuxia-related novels, but it is also due to the respectful yet shameless, while determined, nature of the MC. This novel is pure liquid gold. The elements are well portrayed, and I couldn't ask for more even if I tried. Although the grammar may be rough around the edges in only a few places, if at all, overall, the feel is conveyed thoroughly.

So I'm 100 chapters in and If I have to say something then it's a really good read , it's very logical version of soul land where the characters aren't brain dead licking dogs like in og soul land. A yin personality isn't gentle at all but it's ok.The author spends a lot of effort into character building and it's really good. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star is that I didnt't like the MC personality sometimes. Other than that it's a really good book give it a try you won't be disappointed atleast read 20 chapters

the author clearly knows how to write, he wrote hundreds of chapters, but as a lay soul land reader it is very difficult to follow this entire storyline. I respect writers who have written hundreds of chapters, but for someone who isn't too into comics or the original soul land novels, this is too confusing for me.

Ive only ever read the first book for Douluo Dalu, but this fic is pretty stellar, incredibly developed, and quite long which is always a plus for binge readers. only a little under a hundred chapters in, but I wanted to leave a review for this story. You do need some knowledge of the original content to be able to understand much of this story, but watching a couple hours of the donghua on you tube will likely suffice.

Do I need to know Douluo Dalu to read this because I know absolute jack about it.

Just so you know I really love this novel it’s great but it has a really big flaw and it’s how you are writing the character build up for the mc it’s kinda like he isn’t even part of his own story due to the fact that you gave to many character personalities/references from abridged series like kirito from something witty entertainment and alucard and cell from team fourstar in a way it gave your mc multiple or shifting personalities that basically get rid or overshadow any character growth and this might be one of the reasons for your block??? Another thing is that even though the mc is building relationships he has no connection to the world/universe ( the closest thing he has to a home is his cabin in the forest.Your mc is a homeless rich man🤣)he is in kinda of feels like he’s holding a grudge to it??? Anyway you can ignore this mainly because I can’t put my finger on what is really off with this novel but hopefully trying to address these problems might help inspire some chapters

Previously I rated this novel pretty low, but after the first 20 chapters in which the mc was pretty unlikeable and even suicidal I found the story really interesting. Even if the mc sometimes gets dumber when he sees big rewards with his trait.

Quite a good fan-fiction, with a promising mc and a nice cheat with a good backstory. The only problem is the mc, he is unlikebale to the extreme, with suicidal tendencies and many bad decisions made. Still all of these problems are resolved by the plot armor and while it is not the problem for the mc to have a plot armor it is annoying seeing him saved by it every 3/4 chapters.
