The novel is great and is worth reading....

I didn't see what all the hype was for when the beginning was riddled with grammar mistakes and constant reminders that all the girls ate jade beauties but it gets better after the first 200 chapters. Also has a satisfying ending. Overall a good read. I just wish Melissa could die 😭

this novel is too long-winded and excessively verbose, making me feel sleepy while reading it. I suspect that readers are simply skimming through the chapters.

well, what do you want me to say? It was a fantastic read, and as to why it was fantastic, I think my other reading buddies have already said everything there is to know.

I thought I found something good, but the story got worse as I went on. Lots of info dumps in the story, many of which aren't even necessary. I don't need several paragraphs on why someone's VR systems are secure. Or how a credit card is foolproof. Strap in lads, because the MC is easily the worst part of the story. The main character is wildly inconsistent and continually flip-flops back and forth. At times he displays decent intelligence, other times however, he repeatedly makes the same mistakes, the ones that he keeps telling himself not to make. And constantly surprised that quote-unquote "This didn't happen in the novel" despite happening to him several times. It's actually impressive, that rather than getting character development, he somehow seems to go through character REGRESSION and become worse. As he was significantly more cautious and low-key at the start of the story. Even at the beginning of the story, he isn't consistent. Being a depressed and unmotivated "failure" who was so overweight from lack of self-care, he died from a heart attack. Yet the very next day after reincarnating, his willpower is so strong he can go over 4 days straight of intense physical and psychological strain in a test of worthiness. Another example is the VR test, showing himself to be competent and mentally strong. But later on in his first dungeon, the MC suddenly becomes brain-dead. Finding an entire party wiped out in incredibly unusual and possibly deadly circumstances. He throws caution to the wind, runs over to save them, gives them most of his limited food, and nearly forgets to ask WHY they were nearly killed. The party suddenly dies, and the MC has an emotional outburst over the complete strangers he just met. This is despite his 4-day perseverance of mental strength, and the fact he had no qualms basically torturing two students in the VR test. Cutting off their legs and having a casual conversation with them while the two are in so much pain they can't speak properly. Turns out there's a deadly demon in the dungeon he wants to avoid and now he's trapped. So what does he do? Why he obviously goes and explores an evil-looking black castle that suddenly appears in the dungeon of course, what else? I understand this might be the author's first work, but from what I've heard, they've rewritten the earlier chapters already, and it's still this bad?

really enjoyed chapters1-560ish apart from the weird cringe chess thing, after that i started losing interest mainly cause a plank of wood has more personality than the love interest among other things. ngl i would have loved to have seen the Mc end up with Melissa just cause i really enjoyed seeing their interactions.

I loved every part of the story. As i have read a lot novel I can confidently say that this novel takes the top spot. It's a MASTERPIECE!!!!!

Amazing novel, it is a must read!! The multiple time skips were handled amazingly good.

Well, all I can say is, it was good read. If you are fascinated with good romance, but that would not be whole point of the story; cunning MC; good friendship; so many twists and turns; good action with a modern setting, then this novel is for you.

Peak, ONE OF THE BEST. The author doesn't seem serious abt the story at first but then it went 📈. The ending is dogfight. 😂 Writing quality 5/5, Story Development 5/5, Character Design 4/5, World Background 5/5.
