Chapter 158: What Must Be Done Part 4

Zell stood with his arms crossed leaning against the inner walls of the ship while he waited for Anton to finish building his device. While he waited, he thought. He was concerned about what would happen around him while he channeled power into Veronica. He knew his scales could handle the power, but everything around him might crumble to dust.

"Anton." Zell said. "Make sure that it is self-contained and able to broadcast independently. I will not be able to be on the ship when I channel the power. Whenever I use that amount of force everything around me tends to be wiped from existence. So, it is best I do it far away from any life."

"I understand." Anton said. "But you need to be on the ship."

Skel was leaning against the opposite wall. "What if you built a barrier out of your scales?" He asked.

"Or I could just make a barrier of creation magic." Zell said. "That would be better. Pulling out scales actually hurts a little."
