Matt wasn't expecting much of his day out of the house. He was intending to buy a computer and be back in his house before afternoon.
He couldn't tell why but he decided to take a "scenic" route on his wa to the electronics store.
On his way down the street he greeted the locals that he knew and avoided anyone who would try to stop him to lecture him on his life.
"Ah Matt just the boy I was looking for." Said an elderly gentleman with a twinkle in his eye.
"Oh... hello Mr. Rigth what are you looking for from me today?"
"I am hoping for you to accompany me to my job as I have something to show you..."
Matt looked at him quite quizzically. He was thinking to himself "what is this old man saying?"
Matt thought of what to say and responded back to Mr. Rigth.
"Sure, but I am going to go get a computer and I will be there in a sec after that."
As Matt was walking away, he could feel Mr. Rigth's stare on his back. Chills were going down his backbone as he quickened his step to leave as soon as possible.
Matt continued on his way dodging between alley ways trying to get to the stare as fast as possible.
He took a tight turn to prevent his side from smashing into a brick buildings corner.
The knife slipped out of his pocket when he was turning, and he could hear it clanging on the ground.
The knife slowly started to float off the ground, Matt yelled out when he saw this unnatural sight.
The blade turned and pointed into a direction towards the north. Matt looked over to see a 7 story tall brick building that looked to be of a style from ages ago.
The building was clean but seemed to be permeated with a dark aura that surrounded it. It was by a fairly busy rode, but people did not seem to even realize it was there.
The building at had a ornate sight hanging from two large wooden doors that read.
Matt mumbled under his breath.
"Quietus... death, why would someone call their company that?"
He picked up the knife and started to head towards the building, he felt called to go into it.
It was almost like there was a voice telling him he needed to enter that building. Oh, there was...
"Go Go Go, you must go that building holds your future, your destiny."
Matt was astounded and asked, "Who are you?"
"Cough* Cough* ummm no one... but go?"
Matt was jolted by the voice and realized who it was.
"Dad is that you???"
"Okay fine I'll go..."
Matt walked across the busy street and evaded a couple of cars trying not to get hit.
"That was a close one I almost got killed by Truck-kun..."
Truck-kun had turned into a internet joke in recent history, but some viewed him as a possible real entity.
A few people had even formed the church of Truck-kun, the church had an incredible number of zealous believers.
Finally, though Matt made it across the street and headed into the direction of the Quietus inc. building.
On the sign barely visible he could see where it had an insignia saying.
The symbol was of the word with a scythe and dagger crossed behind it in a circle.
Matt felt a calling deep within his being as he slowly opened up the door into a brightly lit lobby with a desk situated on one side.
There were a couple individuals ambling around that tried to look at Matt without being noticed.
He walked up to the receptionist and was about to speak but she asked him a question too quickly.
"Hello sir, are you here looking for a job to get done or another purpose?"
Matt wasn't sure what she meant and asked. "What kind of work?"
She responded with the same smile saying.
"Well an assassination obviously."
