Chapter 163: Power of Shadow

"Good things I hope." Joshua said, jokingly. He knew whatever she had told him could not bode well for him.

Shade smiled in amusement as he leaned forward upon his throne. "Not quite, no." He replied. "She told me about this little mortal who took in the powers of the realm of fire and did not die. She said they were foolish and that they would no doubt seek my power as well."

"And what if I am?" Joshua replied.

Shade did not answer, only instead standing up from his throne and walking towards Joshua slowly. As he got closer, he began to speak. "Then you are a fool." He said.

As he approached the golden rune that Zell had placed upon Joshua's hand began to glow. Its radiant light illuminated the darkness of Shade's realm. The realm that was normally in varying shades of gray was having light and color forcefully restored to it, all emanating from Joshua's hand.

Shade leapt backwards away from Joshua. "What is this?!" He yelled. "What are you doing?!"
