Hello, author here. I held off on review until I managed to get some things sorted. I’m excited to announce my second book on this platform. Advent of the Three Calamities. If you’ve read my previous book, then you’ll come to find some similarities between the two books. Mostly in the plot twists, and interactions. I’ve taken a long break since my last novel. There were A LOT of things I was unsatisfied with. Hopefully, this book will be better. I hope it is. Thank you for your support!

Honestly only 16 chapters and I'm already hooked. The novel is a bit strange and hard to understand at the start but when you start to understand what's happening you also understand how great the potential of the novel is.The author focuses on an entirely different path compared to his other novel, we start with an mc already at the top but weak, he reincarnates in an unknown body without any memory, so he doesn't know how to cast any spell and use mana but he's freaking good at emotion magic whose power depends on the understanding of the emotions. It's way better than any other magical novel cause here we don't have a bunch of elemental or conceptual spells that are just dumbed down and spammed but we really understand the intricacy of the spell by feeling the emotions alongside the mc.The author is doing an incredible job at conveying feelings especially by playing with our empathy like a boss.Making me even doubt who the saddest between the mc and me when he cast a sadness spell 🤣.Anyway the mc is thrown in disarray at the very start, without any anchor and knowledge about the world and he's in a difficult situation cause he's placed at the first rank of the academy. Very different to Ren who tried to look as lackluster as possible while being strong when here the mc needs to own up to his rank with his meager strength ...very interesting concept and story, great writing as always , and the world background seems intrigiuing.

There are not a lot of stories these days that can hook you since start. Good stories have become rare these days. But here I am hooked since prologue. I love the theme of novel which is mainly focused on emotions so I know for sure that it's gonna be a thrilling and blood pumping roller coaster of emotions. MC feels a like person and most importantly human, a real living HUMAN like all of us. He isn't someone who was like. "Oh I died but nah I got transmigrated so like all other Mcs my job should be avoid bad ending and og protagonist and go my way by avoiding death at costs as well as making a lot of strong connection all the way." He behaves how anyone of us could have behaved. He goes through all phases of regret, denial, reluctance, partial acceptance. He doesn't wanna live there he wanna go home where his little brother is. He loves him more than anything even more than himself. So another merit is, he isn't a cold blooded murderer but a sane and principled person. I also love the duality of his character He is mentally broken and sane at the same time. He has suffered by a lot of negative emotions in his past life and is mentally vulnerable but at the same time that's his strongest trait. He is mentally strong because he has already been exposed to all kinds of negativities to extreme. Every chapter is like he is walking on a thin line between sanity and insanity no one knows when and where will he trip. Whether he will loose himself in dark abyss or will be king of its king is still a mystery? So if you wanna know 😜 do give this a try.

I will not lie. This novel is just bad writing. Plane and simple. . . Everything feels rushed. I can tell from reading each chapter that the author uploaded them without any reviewing or editing or proofreading, it's like he just wrote the chapters and uploaded them like that. It is truly disappointing because I actually liked his previous novel, The Author's POV, and expected this new 'novel' of his to be just as good, or even better than the first one. I was wrong. There are a few interesting fight scenes, there is a lot of setup and major potential for later developments for some of the established concepts, but it cannot make up for the bad story since the author never follows through with his ideas, making the story inconsistent and full of plot holes. The story ends up being boring, and with no real stakes. And it doesn't help that, on one the hand, the writting is awkward and poorly executed. And on the other hand, the characters -- the MC particularly -- have no drive, personality, or actual logic, they are not even the slightest bit relatable. No, It doesn't matter how much the Mc may suffer and struggle through something, I cannot care for him if there are, again, no real stakes, and consequences for his actions. He can do anything he wants and nothing will happen. I struggle to believe this is the same author who wrote TAPOV. I don't know what happened to him to write something of such poor quality, compared to his first novel which, in my opinion, was really good, but I hope he gets his act together and write something better. He should sit down, think through and note down everything he plans for his novel, only then will he be able to salvage this calamity.

Whaoued then disappointed. This sums up my relationship with this book. At first( and even now), I really liked it. But now ,there  are just too much things I don’t like about it  to go any further. Pros : - The writing quality is great( I do not remember spotting any mistake). - The plot is intriging and the story is full of mysteries and twists. - You can jump  chapters without worrying about being unable to understand. It’s not like the author is redundant with informations , but when you read an advanced chapter, even without having read tens of chapters prior to it , you can still get the key parts of what happened and where the story is headed . - The Mc  makes plans to get what he wants( and there are unforseen variables to mess it up) - Thank you author for not having written Aoife as a stereotypical tsundere-girl-who looks-down- on- the -Mc-first( I like how the author made her reflect about her own strengh  instead of making her antagonise Julien in every ways , even if she thinks he is unworthy of being the black star). - Jullien is not a sidekick kind of Mc. He is not obssessed with keeping Leon in the limelight( contrary to Ren dover which is one of the major reasons why I disliked the author’s pov). - The set ups are good( was looking  forward to Julien meeting 'his' family) - The author doesn’t info dump us like he did in his other book. Cons : - The writing style is too melodramatic. One of the story’s main themes is emotions. But I don’t feel the emotions the author write about when I read it. I think it’s because there are expressed in a long-winded and overdramatic way. And it doesn’t help that the author always puts Mc through gruesome sufferings . - The Mc is always " on the verge of dying". The author loves to write about how Mc is giving his all in this or that situation but it’s hard to care about it the way we should when it happens everytime. It’s to the point I just feel annoyed each time he says he is on the" verge of dying". Sure it’s motivating to read about an Mc who is hardworking and pushes back his limites. But when things are always the same : 1. It feels like you do not progress at all 2. It’s emotionally taxing to read about someone's misery every chapter. 3.If there are no major / irreversible drawbacks to pushing oneself so hard , it just feels like plot armor. Moreover , the pace the author chose makes the reading experience even more tiring. -The rythm of the chapters is not that dynamic( in backstories especially). The book's pace is not a problem in general because there are many action scenes ( training or combat) and   we discover characters or hidden informations etc etc. But when we get into backstories... This together with the writing makes it hard to care( aside from Jullien and Leon’s backstories, the others just felt too tedious to read through). It doesn’t help that some characters are just far too less interesting to me , for me to read / care about their past( Delilah I'm sorry). -The characters feel a bit shallow. There is character growth for leon , jullien ,delilah, Aoife and kiera. But it doesn’t feel compelling to me. Maybe it’s because of the fact that Julien doesn’t interact with them much and in a meaningful enough way for it to feel real. I don’t really know. But they all( even julien) lack a little something to feel true. There are also characters like evelyn whom i and the story do not care about . - No breathing room between arcs: After each battle arc, there is... Another battle arc ! The only arc  that can be considered a resting one is the theater arc( and even if it wasn’t as high as in other arcs , there was tension ). I believe an arc can still be interesting even if the tension is not that high. Also , one of my most hated tropes is used during an entire arc: amnesia!!! - The power system  is strange : I don’t get why julien does not get any exp when he makes jokes. Conclusion? I think it’s a good book; just not my cup of tea

Great novel and the mystery building up around the past present and future is too intriguing its just that I personally would like Emmet to follow the path of jack of all traits but master of none as his domain basically allows him to a close combatant like leon, his curse and emotive magic with his bone (aether strings) should probably allow him to be marionette and possibly with the last two bone slots remaining he could become a mage that can control or copy and use all elements like how angel controlled Aoife to do it during the tournament and he already is beast master with Owl-might amd pebble. Just a suggestion to author nothing much. 😇😇😅 I know its too long of a review but cheer up mate and publish more works like this and the previous one and enlighten me with another perspective . After all its all about perspectivep!?!😎😎

captivating storyline and creative plot twists. Writing is also very descriptive and also describes sound effects clearly. The background of the world is unique and complicated, and interesting information is revealed bit by bit along the way. there are many unexpected plot twists along the way. also many funny parts, even in serious settings. an area for improvement is spelling errors and such. though, overall writing is coherent and flows together smoothly. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

man how come i cant enjoy this author's works at all 😭😭 i dont have money to read more but i dont want to continue either. author's pov was mostly info dump but this one gives info too low. also the part where mc first used his powers just came out of nowhere and somehow "he knew what he had to do" just cause he experienced a little of it. i find mc so boring too. he's like this very chill character whose character is defined by the side characters than have any depth of his own. also i dislike it when it novels have nothing interesting going on...emotions usage is nice for powers but it's lacking up to where i read

The_Golden_Age_

I'm back 🥳 Writing quality I don't have much to say about this but it's why better than it was but it's repetitive at times but it's to a small degree that I can ignore.⭐⭐⭐ the dialogue is way better too, I enjoy it probably because of Julien and Leon's antics. The dialogue also doesn't feel as awkward as it did. Some characters have their own voices which I really liked. I don't have much to say but ⭐⭐⭐ Story development I have to be honest the tournament arc by far was my favourite especially with the angel that led with more lore drop I was smiling through it all. The hype I felt for the tournament was fantastic I hadn't felt like that in a long time. Leon and Julien were the high light considering their antics. I loved how the new characters were introduced and I hope to learn more about them especially the parents/family of both the main character and the protagonist. Especially with the fact that his brother maybe in the same world as him. Can't wait for them to meet if it's not Leon but I doubt it since he died and was brought back to life so maybe not...I'm still in the fence with that one. Although I was interested in what Evelyn knew about the og Julien she just felt like information dump (more in character design) Character design Julien-He feels more stable now as a character. Especially with the lore dumps of who he actually is I'm excited to see how the author shows us how Julien will change and become similar to his future versions or will they just merge and I'm excited about Oracle. His character also doesn't feel as forced for me and he feels a bit more natural. Also we all know that you have the hots for Lillah as soon as she asks you out you won't hesitate I just know it 🤣 Julien-I loved him even more in this arc. He is still by far my favourite character Julien became my second after not being in my top three 🤣. I'm excited to see his reaction when he finds out that he has more power then Julien because of his birth. Also looking forward to his family. Kiera-Very disappointed I didn't see much of her but her emotional struggle and fear got to me I had to skip a few parts because of my anixety 🥲 Really hope she gets her lick back and that she gets stronger which she probably is going to be doing given the conclusion of the arc. Aoife-🫤 I'm still not really into her character. I can see the potential but for now I don't like how she was executed or written. I don't know how to explain it really. I don't hate her character but her presence isn't strong especially considering the fact that she's part of the main cast. She feels like a wasted potential character. I have the urge to skip past her scenes. Hopefully this changes in future arcs. Also felt like it was brushed over too easily with her being taken over by the angel unless she's pretending to be fine I feel like we need an emotional arc with her. Delilah-On the other hand has slithered herself right into my heart. I love her awkwardness and the weird assumptions she has about Julien. At first their ship didn't make sense to me. It just felt like people were shipping them because she's currently the strongest in the world but based on the recent arc it makes way more sense. Not earlier though I don't trust early Delilah and Julien shippers😶 I feel like not making her work or and giving her a break to act ...normal allowed us ...me to see more of her character.I didn't just see her as the female character who's the strongest I saw her as Delilah the chocolate obsessed midget who has a crush on our MC but has yet to realise it and thus begins her antics to prove that he in fact is inlove with her🤣 Hopefully author continues on exploring her character. Evelyn- Although we got to see her more in this arc she didn't feel as interesting to me. The only thing that made her interesting was the information she had. Basically she felt like a lore dump so she wasn't an npc but now she felt like more of a background character that has the necessary information to move the plot. I'm really not into her and she still feels 1D and she's a boring character without the information she has not even her food critic career interests me. Atlas-I didn't see a lot of him but the last scene and seeing him scared when we've always seen him calm was a huge shock. His background is interesting but he felt like a different character...I don't know how to explain it but hopefully he'll be flashed out more so I can actually see him like that and be like yeah he's the same person scared and it's still Atlas you know. To me he felt like a diablo kinda like how he is to Rimuru. In that he devoted to him and his only fear is being pushed away from his master...blame it on how you showed us his past...maybe I'm wrong but I really hope he also gets flashed out. Kae[I don't remember how to spell the rest of his name👁️👁️]- After the tournament arc I honestly became even more interested in his character. I hope we see more of him too. And F his teacher his mother on the other hand is a W. Brother of Julien[Forgot his name😶‍🌫️]-Looking forward to him too I'm hoping the author writes a few jealous scenes when he sees how close Julien and Leon are and how easily they read each other's mind. I also want to know who was it that kidnapped Leon I'm pretty interested in that storyline overall I'm excited for his character. Insecure emotive mage-I honestly like him as a character ngl🤣. I hope he also recovers from the mental torture he is going through I really want to see more of him. Leader of inverted sky- I don't mind the author not telling us more about them honestly but nevertheless I am extremely excited for more about them. Updating I don't mind it since I stack the chapters up by 30-50+ chapters before I continue. World background-🙇‍♀️I'm begging for someone to create a map for this😭 please 🥺🙏 author please make a map that would really be helpful. Anyway I'm actually glad I didn't drop this so 4stars⭐⭐⭐⭐

It was alright. The power system was unique but beyond that, I'm not a fan. Maybe this simplistic writing isn't for me. I like things being detailed but this is written like a story boarded webtoon. Plot is okay, and MC is...well he's not hate able but he's just there. I'm not invested in the world building and story. Not for me

Although we are still at the beginning of this novel, what I like is the pace of the novel Each arc ends in 100 chapters and does not contain any unnecessary fillers The characters of this novel are very real and attractive to the extent that I like them all On the other hand, the idea of emotional magic is a new and fun idea for me, and the secrets behind the world and the main character make everything more interesting for me. Definitely, if it continues like this until the end of the story, it will be the best novel I have read 10/10 for me A special novel

Honestly i would have quit if it was not for the author's previous work. And I am glad i didn't. The start was brutal and the mc was not to my taste but the character development by 70 chs, was through the roof and by ch 200, ohh boy i was hook. Author, your works are definitely in another class. But the part about theatre when the world background has the magical technology to produce movies feel kind of immature and like a plothole. It would have been better if you tried that part with cinemas instead of theatre. All else was amazing. Keep up the good work.

Surprised I didn’t review earlier, easily one of my favourite novels. My main thing I love about it, is the personality every character has. They don’t feel like a solid colour, everyone has their one motivation and flaws in some way. Even when they have a solid goal, they aren’t just all about that one goal from then on. They just feel real if you get what I mean?

The story is good, and it's progressing well, but the one thing I'm not happy with is the fact that Evelyn has little to no presence. I don’t understand why he even wrote Evelyn. She is being completely ignored, and nothing significant has happened with her or to her. It’s supposed to be about the three calamities, so why is she being sidelined? Kiera has been the complete focus, and Aoife got her fair share of presence, with both showing some character growth. But Evelyn has nothing to her; she feels like an extra NPC. The same thing happened in Author's POV. His main focus was obviously on Ren and Kevin, but I felt underwhelmed with the other characters. They didn’t have much presence in the story.

Top tier world building and story. Definitely going in my F5 list. Lots of complete world building and cool powers that follow the logic of the world without being too OP or inconsistent. Love it all!!
