Chapter 293: One More

Emily had to admit that the day before had been pretty eventful for her. From suddenly getting the email from HR telling her that she needed to come in to handle some stuff. To seeing Derek again. Not only had she seen Derek, but she'd also seen her replacement.

The new Emily, the one who was blonde and had blue eyes, and had a face like nothing could shake her.

The unflappable new Emily. 

It was more than enough to send anyone into a tailspin. Add to all of those events the fact that Emily had not just been seeing her former boss. But she had also been seeing her former boyfriend. The man looking at her like she was the one who was at fault.

The one responsible for things not working out between them, and she had not stood a chance. In fact, her going out afterwards, and making sure to get as drunk as was humanly possible was actually the most logical thing that any sane human being would have done in her situation.
