Chapter 313: Tell Me

When the lights had gone out, Emily had been running from the darkness. Now she wanted to stay in the dark that the shade of the tree was creating.

I love you, Emily Molson. 

The glowing words at the back of the puzzle photo stared up at her, and Emily did not want to blink. She wanted to keep looking at them until she could not anymore. 

Of all the things that she had been thinking when she had been searching for the puzzle pieces, and then putting them together. Emily had never once thought that she was holding Derek's love confession to her in her hands. 

She'd had Derek's love the entire time, and she had never realised. 

"Oh, Derek," Emily whispered, running trembling fingers over the glowing letters. It was quite possibly one of the most romantic, and thoughtful gifts that Emily had ever received in her entire life, and she was not exaggerating. 

No one had ever taken the time to think to do something like that for her.
