The next day, Kiana slowly woke up from her sleep to find both her mommy and daddy beside her. A small smile tugged at her lips as she realized their arms were wrapped around her, forming a protective cocoon, making sure no one could come between them. Slowly, she wriggled out of her father's large hand, her movements delicate as she shifted toward her mother, nestling into Evelyn's warmth.

Evelyn woke to the sensation of her little bear trying to cling to her tighter. She chuckled softly, pulling Kiana fully into her arms, and pressed a tender kiss on top of her messy hair.

"Morning, baby," she whispered gently, her voice soft with affection.
