sigh..... the novel is good but the protagonist personality is just too much 😤 If this kind of person didn't have system, only failures and poverty would be in for him and his business.....

The start was really good and it continued to be good till around chapter 1000. From then on the story was dragged and the same thing was repeated on and on. The author was also really unjust with the other supporting characters as well as he barely gave anyone a proper happy time. The ending was abrupt and felt like a waste of time reading.

I enjoy this novel a lot. But for insulting a country's culture without any basis is the reason for such a rating. The story can be as great as possible but there is no need to insult another country's culture and method of eating is same as agreeing to others saying that your country's food culture is not worth anything. There should always be a limit to one's remarks. Even though I enjoy this novel, I wish I could give it a 0 rating because of this reason.

While it can be a little dry at times it’s a truly enjoyable slice of life + cooking + system novel.

Really nice read. Good lightheaded and funny moments. There are poignant and sad moments especially with some deaths though offscreen created a significant emotional connection

This story is extremely similar to "Gourmet of another world" novel. Even side characters are similar. A cold-faced owner, system, a weird dog and a loli waitress, everything looks too similar. 😶😶 I still live it no matter what.

Wow... A really great novel was absolutely ruined my machine translation. You actually expect people to shell out money for such a sub par translation? The first half of the novel was great, as it was translated normally. Then, the translator stopped and it was left in limbo for a couple years. For some reason, some people thought they could get away with machine translating THOUSANDS of chapters within a week and think they can pass it off as something people would actually spend money on. DO NOT spend money on this! DO NOT encourage the use of lazy machine translation.

I'm glad that there's someone continuing the translation from 1001, but man, the many (mostly minor) mistakes hits the writing quality hard. If you've read machine translations before, then this a just a little bit better than it and has you thinking that the translator is trying to make a quick buck.

A solid meh. I've been looking for stories similar to The Immortal's Wine Store, but they all have various problems that make it hard to read. First off, this novel is kinda boring. I mean, he has a system that directly imbues knowledge on how to make something, so he has no real skill/talent, despite what the novel mentions. There are none of the usual "you dare refuse me I'll destroy your whole store" which is actually refreshing for a Chinese novel. However, perhaps the reason they avoided this is because every single character reacts the same way. This novel reminds me of a proto-type version of other novels similar to this, and ends up being rather boring. Of course, there is another I dropped it. Nationalism. Just read chapter 358. Theres no spoilers, and it's just blatant nationalism. It honestly annoys me how common this is. Overall, I give this novel a solid 'meh'. Nationalism and lack of anything going on ruin the novel.

anyone looking for gourmet nobels should definitely be reading this masterpiece. too bad though the translation was stopped. does anyone know when translation will resume?

The story is actually good though it's almost the same as 'Gourmet in Another World'. I don't very much like the mc's attitude to the customers. But I like it that there's no girls there that's always around the mc being weak and such. You know the typical damsel-in-distress.

I really like it :D I've only read a few chapters, but I can already tell that this will be a great webnovel. The only complaint that I have is that the MC's food is like a drug. It makes them addicted and every other food tastes horrible.

I would say that there's nothin, not even one aspect of this novel that could disappoint me. except that the translator stop his work and leaving me hanging here. it's been more or less two years... I hope someday, he'll have time to translate this novel again

Both of the two big Chinese cooking novels have problems... but if I had to chose one over the other, it'd be the other one due to a little better translation and also better story development.

I'm also starting to get bored with the cycle of chapters where he cooks food, gets a new recipe, and cooks again. It may have been satisfying the first few chapters but right now it's telling me the author is too lazy to come up with some original content. And, frankly, has anyone realised this novel is practically identical to gourmet of another world. From the small restaurant to the system and other times the missions he gets are practically copied out of gourmet of another world. So far I haven't reached the dreaded chapter 358 everyone is forewarning me off, but I look forward to reading so I can confirm my sole thought on this novel: it's shit

Really satisfying read. The mc is unique and hilarious, but the other characters are even more so. The pace is slow but it's what makes the story exciting. I hope there will be more updates soon.
