So far the story is a bit interesting, but the translation quality is low with a lot of grammar mistakes. (since this is the "official site" one would expect better quality) View More
Total Rip off from world of warcraft. :(
Too lazy world setting and characters.
No-where near TKA, Reincarnated Thief, Zhang Long etc.
Translation is fine tho. View More
The story itself has a nice flow to it and is enoyable to read. The biggest issue with the story in my opinion is that it reads more like some random World of warcraft fanfic instead of its own story. Aside from the VR aspects almost everything else is a part of World of Warcraft. View More
The story is good and the characters are well made if you compare it to other stories within the same genre. I just find it a good read and a side novel if you ever need to read something that's within this circle of genre. Updating wise, I still don't get the exact times and that leaves me frustrated on when I would get to read another chapter. But the quality is good. You can have a good read. Give it a try. View More
im a sucker for thief mc bc thats what i would choose if i play Virtual Reality games.
the mc was a really good brother. he is not really OP from the start tho View More
So far this novel has been doing some good background planning. I just hope it keeps going the way it is without having it turn "slice of life style" like many others View More
As a great fan of Rebirth of the thief (CN) and Emperor of Solo Play (KR), this novel hasn't been impactful to me. To put it simply, I don't like how the MC act because It doesn't make sense (at least to me).
The MC joined a gaming union in which he had to collect gold each week as a compensation for the renting fee of the Gaming Helmet. But, the problem arose when the Union's gold collection team was already full. He arrogantly said that he could gather 20 gold each week and the union accepted. (Voila, he got himself into a 3-months contract and he had to submit 20 gold per week to the union)
The problem is, 20 gold is a HUGE amount. It's even equal to the Gaming Helmet's price (30,000$) (This is based on a chapter in which the author said that 63 silvers equal to 1000$, ****** math -> 20 gold = +-25,000$). Well, he managed to earn that much on his first day. But if he's that confident, isn't it better to get a loan from even a loan shark, duh?
The game lore used a lot of names from WoW and other Blizzard-games and that's a minus to the originality.
All in all, it's still an enjoyable read if you are pretty bored. But, Rebirth of the Thief and Emperor of Solo Play leave this novel in the dust. View More
A really nice VR novel based on the idea of the MC going back in time with a chance to restart his game carreer. While the idea and story is not original (seen it a few times now), the MC starts off pretty powerfull with knowledge and his gaming skill, but it is not (yet) annoyingly so. It is a bit of a cheeky approach to the theme.
I am looking forward to new chapters daily and very curious to how the story will develop, inside and outside the game. Translation is well done. Little things here and there but not annoyingly so. Quality is comparable, I think, to the better quality of translations I have seen so far.
Fans of the novel "Rebirth of a thief" might enjoy this book. The idea and buildup is alike. However, after like 40 chapters, I do not feel that the MC in this book will be as economically powerfull as in Rebirth. View More
A great novel that is a favorite to read! Generic plot, but awesome world build so far, intelligent but not arrogant/cliche characters, and some great ideas. A great VR novel so far (58 chapters as of now). Took away a star for story as you can definitely see a bit of the plot before it happens, but it doesn't take much away from the story. Took away a star as some of the early chapters were worded a bit weird and some of the sentences were difficult to read, but that's improved in later chapters. View More
Take this from a reader that has read quite some VRMMORPGs with reincarnated MC's, but this story is one of the few I keep reading every day.
Note this is review is written at only 58 chapters read, but the MC isn't as OP as some of those other novels are. He 'abuses' his knowledge only in a way that he knows the dungeons tactics, and knows where to find some good items. For the rest, he just knows the mechanics needed in the game.
He only gets one OP (upgradable) item, but it's a very har item to upgrade and it isn't OP as of yet. He meets up with people that he knew/recognized from his previous life and tries to befriend them. This is how his character develops into being one of the strong players.
About the translation team, they update more frequently than mentioned on the website (it says 5/w but I've been getting daily chapters) however sometimes translations seems a bit off. Usually there are 2 words wrongly spelled or the translation seems a bit odd. Don't let this distract you though, as the story still reads very well and they translate way better than I could ever do.
If you're sick of reincarnated VRMMORPG stories, you probably shouldn't take it up. If you still enjoy them, start reading this novel and enjoy it like I am. View More
