One of the best novel I've read. It is chill and it is fun. Once you've started reading, it is hard to stop. I could say it is one of top 10. What an amazing work! Thank you author and translator for bringing this novel to life. It was an amazing journey.

This is one of my favorite web novels I have read so far. The amount of plot and details that the author had to remember...wow...because the ending links it back to the beginning of the story about food and emotion...just wow...*applauses for the author*

The food descriptions are absolute torture!
I don't know about the plot or anything, but the cooking process, the ingredients, the food descriptions! This novel even made me, a person who sees food as human needs and not pleasure, salivate greatly!
Oh, to be a very rich person with an awesome cultivation in this novel! (swoon)

This novel is not a master piece. It has a lot of face slapping, the character are quite bland and there is quite a bit of plot holes.
HOWEVER, this novel has amazing descriptions of foods and can make you smile.
To put it bluntly, it's not incredible but it is a good way to pass time without reading trash.

My Favorite book by far. The MC is smart, capable and cool. He doesn't allow others to walk all over him and dishes out scary punishments. He sells dishes to earn points to gain higher cultivation and can kill above his realm. Isn't only about cooking has lots of action(including kicking out troublemakers and when he's out collecting ingredients). Not a romance novel but MC has many beauties around him. Overall a great book hope you give it a try.

My favorite. Kinda sad that there isn’t one last “let’s start a reastaurant - arc” but over all I love this book. Always manages to make me feel good and a lot deeper in places then you would think. Does have limited ideology and propaganda tone in places but it’s older and very limited. Lighthearted book with OP chef and clean structure.

overall it's a very good book. well written with no grammar issues that I've seen it's actually really enjoyable to read and I believe that the author has put in some research into the things like how the ingredients are prepared and everything for the book it's actually really well he made and I hope to see more works like this

What a novel. I started reading this on the first of January 2019, and I’ve just finished it on November 24th 2021. It feels like yesterday that I just picked up this book.
I really felt the characters come to life. The chicken, squawking across worlds really resonated with me.
Although the plot is repetitive, I do recommend reading this book in its entirety. You‘ll find it well worth the wait.

the storyline is different, I like the development of Bu Fang. several characters like Lord Dog was fun to read and always made me hungry since there's always food in the plot. it's not just cultivation!

Fun book to read.
The things that I feel annoyed is…. Most of the chapter is like a repetition to increase the words count. Which is annoying.
Also based on the logic…. Many things doesn’t makes sense. For example, the previous host Mu Hongzi fallen because He got ambushed by Netherworld Prison people, that supposedly the highest cultivation level only reached Great Saint. And after Mu Hongzi resurrected, his actual cultivation almost reached the Heavengod level which is top peak God Emperor lol Author always emphasised that God level cultivation can kill them (Great Saint) like an ant. So how come Mu Hongzi could be killed (body) by them. Anyway, that’s not the only things that doesn’t makes sense.
Tldr, I feel like giving the author a hit of hammer on his/her head. Meh, this is such a good World Background, but the author can’t keep up with the writing. Alas, this is Webnovel so author won’t able to read this review/comment.
Nevertheless, it was a good read.
Story Developments, only average as the Author doing so many repetition, which burns my brain cells.
Character Design, only average as the Author writing not consistent. (Many times)
World Background, not full mark as I can’t give it full marks if I need to skip the brain burning repetition story telling.
