I started reading this novel at its early days. and i could say that even though a lot of people would feel like its just a parody by taking the characters from other novels. This novel proved to be one that is interesting and satisfying to read. the level of mastery of its world building, the politics and the deep plots in the dark, the legacy built. everything is superb. and the final chapter wasnt only a masterpiece, but a thread that is tightly knitted into the hearts of its readers. Ive been with this novel since the start and i could say to the author, well done! God bless you

Man. What can I say. Between this book and Secretly Cultivate, I recommend them to anybody who likes cultivation novels period. Absolute masterpieces in their own rights. Great stories and great endings.

The story is amazing. It will likely be one of your top five xiantia for a long time. It has everything. It has comedy, brotherhood, cool dao moments and awesome fights. Romance is not often and doesn’t happen to MC though. It is an amazing work that will make happy anyone that loves xiantia. Only thing against it is that qidian gave it to one of their laziest translators. Who misgenders and misnames characters that don’t show up often(but that are pivotal to plot which could be bad to people that read the story intermittently).

Although this story is good and well thought out there are still some places that could be better. However for there to be over 1000 chapters there are only thirty-nine free? *cough*novelfull*cough*

PROS no harem or dumb annoying fairies to ruin or distract you. CONS The MC becomes a side character along the way. Every power up he does happens behind the scenes. Bloated chapters Filler chapters So many names you have to remember about irrelevant characters. You can skip 10 chapters and not miss a thing. MC pulls powers out of nowhere There is a lot of sudden unnecessary exposition and back stories to everything. you spend so much time reading about other side characters that you don't care about. A lot of arcs where the MC is barely mentioned. The uninverse doesn't make any sense The power or cultivation system is a mess everything is way way way way over the top. Even for a cultivation Novel, this is embarrassing.

This novel is pretty good overall in terms of writing and execution like most other reviews have noted. I will not cover finer points rather only mention two larger points that I find quite problematic (holds for a large proportion of similar novels) 1. The major problem I find with this class of novels is that the "system" simply leads the MC by the nose. We do not know until the end what was it that the MC himself wanted to achieve. It's just missions allotted by the "system" that the MC is forced to follow and adopt as his own mission and goal in the life. So his primary goal is "satisfy the system". Frankly this makes for a very weak MC, far worse than even most of his disciples who have a backstory and a definite motivation and goal. Sure there is an occasional "i must become strong" kind of stuff but that too is merely a result of being forced to fulfill the "system"s missions. 2. The second related problem is the overarching nature of the "system". MC never needs to train seriously, not even close to what his disciples do, yet he progresses much faster than them. We do not see the talent and other attributes of MC like we see for his disciples, but it is quite clear that they are not too outstanding, making the appearance of the "system" on the MC itself quite weird. To top it all, the first couple of hundred chapters, when the MC is quite weak then there is a healthy dosage of additional plot armours to protect him. Then there are additional smaller issues like his disproportionately vast knowledge, ability to analyse martial arts etc in a glance despite his miniscule experience etc all of which are explained as due to "system". It makes for a very unsatisfactory explanation at least for me. It just leads to one conclusion: the real MC is the "system" while the holder of the system is only a proxy. If it had chosen anyone else who is decently capable, then that person would have become the proxy MC. Overall if you can ignore the larger plot problems related to this "system" then this is a pretty good novel.

A great novel, this novel is in my top 20 best novels i've read. This story is about Lin Feng in his journey to make build the number 1 sect in the world. Really funny novel, the comedy just pokes fun out of the cliche things that happen in an average xianxia. The only thing that i dislike about this novel is probably his first disciple Xiao Budian, i don't know why but i just dont like him. Overall 10/10 definitely would read again in the future.

back when I was debating whether I should try this novel out or not, but now I have no regrets, It is by far one of the Well written Novels out there compared to the novels I've read so far. I am very impressed by the Author being consistent on the World Development esp. the "Side Characters" which are mostly forgotten and we will never see them again in the next few hundred chapters but oh man this is really a fresh breather, all I'm gonna say, Man, that was worth all my time :D

If you are still debating or whether you want to read this Novel, i can assure that it will be worth the read. The World development is really good and it just straight up forget other characters like other novels, it doesn't introduce endless characters for them to be non existent in the later stages. it was a really fun and change of pace from your usual cultivation novel. really worth to read!

Out of the many novels I have read I really have to say that this one is probably the top one. I myself have read many different types although most end uo being cultivation or powers. But this novel is written so well, it gives many different perspectives throughout the story and the whole world itself is very detailed. You truly begin to feel for the characters and at one point I even began to cry for them. Lin Feng is such an amazing character who is also relatable and even funny at times. The novel can talk on a grander scale without skimping on the details. The fights are beautifully written that almost everytime there is one I feel like I am seeing it right in front of me. I never got bored and despite the many new concepts and things being introduced I was able to understand it all well due to the good explanations. I actually feel a little sad that this is the end but it has been a wonderful journey. Thank you author for dedicating so much effort for us.

I thought the book was great but the mc is way too weak for my liking. If he was alone then i couldve held it in and watched his growth but he’s picking up all these genius kids while he barely has any trump cards. Its like blind men leading each other around. Great translation quality though 🌟

This is one of the best novels out there to read. It's one of the books where I just couldn't read halfway and put down to read another and I have a lot of those on my list. Anyway, it's enjoyable, intense, intellectually mind-blowing and fucking-awesome. I recommend this to anyone who wants to have a good time.

Good story I may say. Another transmigrator mc with a system. The writing quality is also very good. It explains everything. I hope the mc would be a bit more shameless

The problem with these kinds of stories is that the actual MC's luck (plot armor) is so gargantuan that the story becomes stupid. All problems are not actually problems because you know the system will pull some BS to make the MC maintain his "mysterious taoist aura". Coincidences line up so perfectly that a sense of deus ex machina hits you hit a freight train. All of the worries and concerns of the MC feel like a joke because you know it'll all be resolved within a few paragraphs. Would've been better as a comedy instead of a serious story.

Fairly bland story, dropping at ch 300. Had potential at first but the author couldn't live up to it. At this point the disciples are all fairly 2d and rely a lot on you knowing their original stories. The fights are similarly boring because the techniques are all carbon copies of ones from other series but without the impact/meaningfullness they gain through being developed over 100 chapters instead of 1. Ultimately failed to live up to it's potential.

Overall a good read. The first few hundred chapters play out like a parody of a few other xianxia's, but it's quite nice and lighthearted. Makes for some good laughs if you're an avid xianxia reader. The rest of the novel follows an interesting original plot, and there's a lot of time set aside for the character development of both the main character and his direct disciples. The author does this quite well, even if most of the developments are a bit cliche. The world is also interesting to read about. The author slowly feeds the readers information about its history in manageable and interesting chunks. The fights, however, can sometimes drag on for wayyy too long. I don't really want to read about some side characters fighting other unimportant side characters for 10-15 chapters straight. There were times when I just had to switch over to another novel for a bit before I could psyche myself up to slog through those endless and boring fighting scenes. Though I'm not really a huge fan of long and drawn out fights to begin with, especially when the main character isn't involved. There were also way too many tournaments in the early chapters. It was quite annoying to read through. The only outright negative thing I have to say about this novel is the atrocious translations. Some of the character's genders are switched by the translators like drinking water. I didn't get confirmation on the Heavenly Charms Sage's gender until her backstory was fully introduced at like chapter 1000(She was introduced in the first 200 chapters). Even then, the translators still somehow managed to make her a 'he' again in chapter 1431, despite the fact that she had been confirmed as being female. This kind of stuff happens wayy too often in the novel. Off the top of my head, I can think of 5 seperate side characters who never got to have a proper gender in the eyes of the tl's. The grammar and sentence structure was also poorly done. It isn't as apparent in the first hundred chapters or so, but as the novel goes on, it just feels like the translators lost all interest, with the translations getting worse and worse and worse. The translation quality is just fucking sad. It's the only thing I'm giving a straight-up 1 star.

This is really good especially if one wants sect-building theme along with a system's cheat. The side characters as well as the events are well-written and they don't seem to be forced as much .good story and good worldbuilding is like a cream on top
