This novel actually really good, intelligent MC and antagonists, MC uses his brain and wits to defeat his enemies than brute force most of time and realises pros and cons. It's a shame translation stopped. There wasn't any netorare through c1-c532. Even if there was in later chapters what do you expect from brutal world of cultivation rape, murder and robbery happens all the time.Just skip that chapter. Overall it's better than most novels who has mindless MC and antagonists.

If you like politics & schemes plot then this novel is good enoyh for you. But cultivation & romance side is not worthy.. Poor MC with a bad luck cultivation and romance.. Politics and schemes plot are very good, but cultivation aspect is too weak and simple. MC is trying so hard to cultivate but still weak & slow like snail, with all good luck he's had. Maybe author is trying to build this character like a bull, but honestly its too much nonsense for me.. maybe if there would be another 1000 new chapters later then you'll get a decent MC with a good cultivation. And the best thing is there's no new updates after 532 chapters.. lol

One of the best light novels i have read. Almost zero plot hole and everything follows common sense. Not everything goes MC's way and he has to sometimes give up some things out of helplessness. Best main female character. Worth the read just next to mao ni's novels .

First of all-I followed this novel from another site where it's being posted. And yes, I am a novice reader of cultivation novels, but I must say that the world building here is great, the hierarchy is understandable and the usual trick of MC suddenly receiving power boost or eating some precious fruit really didn't make it look too fantastical-the main character 's growth is steady , he faces life problems such as lack of money to buy resources, political schemes, war conflicts. The quality of translation is great-it's smooth and descriptive and even uses poetic images-the translation team managed to express it in English (not my native too). I really appreciated that the genre 'harem' that I don't like, is rather subtle here. P.S. The best character for me was Charcoal! Trully a mood maker and MVP. P.P.S. Too bad translator had to drop this novel, I really was enjoying it too.(as of September 2019) P.P.P.S. I stopped at chapter 532, and there was no NTR till that chapter. And I am sure the progression of the story would explain the situation.
