It’s readable, but the author is insanely inconsistent. One moment MC can fight a guy one realm higher than him to a draw, next second MC turns out to be strong enough to only take 50 moves or smth from a similar guy. There are barely any explanations to the realms of cultivation paths(strength, alchemy, arrays, Qi, weapon strengths). You have to figure it out urself, which is annoying and confusing. Face-slapping and butt-licking takes too much space for me in this one, too many arrogant young masters or stupid masters, feels as if the whole world of Taoism is made up of degenerates only. I would assume being able to receive enlightenment on the martial path would mean u at least have a few brain cells, but apparently not. MC throws the promises of the like “I’ll die, but do it” to the left and right all the time, like they cost nothing and then goes on to follow them, why? U barely know some of those ppl and don’t own them anything, they only recruit u coz ur potential is good, ain’t no goody 2 shoes, it’s fine to help them or try to, but why the **** are u throwing ur life away for them every time u have an opportunity? Basically, there’s barely any sense to the actions of all characters u will ever meet in this novel. I don't know if the problem is with translator or with the editor but many times they are mixing words. Sometimes they talk about level of alchemy when it is supposed to be level of cultivation. And this happens in almost every second chapter. Lot of loop holes and stupid characters. Not able to enjoy the reading.
