Also, odd sentence when comparing 1200 years to 12 years. Maybe it was meant to be hours? 1200hrs = 50 days. If it was days, then 1200 days = roughly 3 years.

Well, to be fair he's sociopathic to a large extent already. If he brought both a deadly plague *and* the only means of curing it - he could just become king of the world almost overnight. Way faster than phone apps and games!
