I really like this series. Unfortunately, it does have slow pacing at first, making me drop it multiple times because it somewhat hard for me, a non-native, to understand what's going on. But, once I got used to it, the flow and story become more interesting later on.

This is an amazing book with great characters and Worldbuilding if you want to learn more about taoist myths and culture in a fun and interesting way than this is the book

TL;DR: All round gem of a light novel! Writing (5/5): Excellent translation quality! with explanations on cultural references, which this novel is full of. I personally really enjoyed the humour in this, also at the beginning TL comments were awesome Story (4.5/5): Pacing is good! I've never seen a Xianxia novel pace things out like this, it was really refreshing and makes you appreciate the improvements in power levels more. Fillers are there, and can generally be skipped without too much drama. Characters (4.5/5): Well fleshed out Protagonist, good and interesting MCs who don't feel two dimensional, I also enjoyed that the many different character storylines, good variety! Few books that I've read do better than this. Updating (5/5): at the time of reading, this novel had been dropped, so cannae say fir sure but I'm assuming it was good. Worldbuilding (5/5): Descriptive, very in depth, plenty of well structured info dumps that you're free to skip without losing anything plot wise, based on real world locations. It was a fairly immersive read, and it felt nice discovering things with characters as the story went on. Humour was appreciated, systems were generally cohesive and split into different levels of complexity (info dumo followed by summary) and added up. In summary, awesome!!!! Cheers! D.W.

This novel was one of the best on webnovel but sadly dropped. It realisticly presented how society would react when a supernatural energy starts to exist.

This should continue to be translated because it shows us how modern society would react if cultivation was merging with it and it also shows the personal struggles of the characters as well as the an mc who does not have plot armour like other novels.

It start slow, but that small ember turned into a roaring inferno as the author show how good cultivator stories could be when done right. Too bad there's no updates or my score would be a 5.

I've been waiting for months for atleast a single release and look what I got, its just depressing that one of my first and favorite novel actually died. The novel is good with one of the best plots or story I've ever seen, its a pity that the translator no longer releases chapters anymore as this was actually in my list of top 5 novels. All in all, I suggest you don't read this as it just makes you sad and annoyed (lol jk read it I recommend you do) the story is good and thats it, there are many more good aspects in this novel but Im too lazy. That's all.
