Chapter comments on the chapter Ten Years in the Kingdom of the book When A Mage Revolts

there are no explanation as to the ending whatsoever. the resolution is cut so short that it gives you a deep feeling of incompleteness that can’t be found since the story has clearly been successfully completed. it’s like a couple of chapters between “Fallen” and “Ten...” have been removed.

In the raws, there are 3 more chapters: About Elizabeth finding out being a queen is not so easy, trying to negotiate with Empire Aliance new found island and still remebering Benjemin. About Michelle still being revenant and finally finding peace. And about Kubei traveling to other side of the planet, trying to find a way back to his former world, finding Miles dead in the Undead world and defeating the bone dragon to take him back and bury him. Restoring System and continuing his jurney. And no longer being able to tell, what world he belongs to.

Very unsatisfying ending, plenty of room for a sequel. Though, it wouldn't be 'When a Mage Revolts 2' but something like 'The resurrection of the Legendary Mage'. There was a hint of romance with Elizabeth. but that didn't get taken further. Miles death is unclear, whether it is due to the poison or his body's magic immunity. You would think given the Magic Academy's promising research results on so many topics that they would find a cure, but no, he still died (most likely of his body's constitution). We didn't get to hear Grandma's thoughts on the events, nor actually display the full extent of her ability. On a further note, we didn't see the extent of the Old Magic society's power. I liked that they wrapped Cain and Able into the mix, where Grant and Kubei beat them respectively, because they were the peak of their fields, thus making Kubei and Grant the strongest known magicians in history. BUT. I say there is a room for a sequel, because ultimately they both magicians. Remember that Green species, the green bull, and the cult that Benjamin eliminated. They went to another dimension, but in the past, they beat the magic world. IF they came back to this dimension to invade, it could lead to a continuation in the story (not likely). It felt like the Gurren Lagann ending, where the hero saved the world, but ended up living a less than fantastic life. The thing was, since coming to this world, Kubei, was always in a state where he was struggling to survive, or planning a counterattack. He lived for years with just one goal in mind and didn't really think how he was going to spend his time living after he achieved the goal, this lead to him not pursuing certain interests (romance, friendship) and losing things (system, miles) along the way. Its admirable in light of his goal but most people wouldn't want to emulate him.

Im sad that this novel has ended. I really like this novel its hilarious and doesn't have romance. Now after this novel i guess my ss is just going to pile up unless i use some on a novel called release that witch. My Second favorite novel called Night Ranger is finished now my third favorite has also ended.

It's pretty messed up that the author knows it's an unsatisfactory ending, because he had one of his characters speak for the audience, then he did it anyway.

Well... Since Benj/Kubei never had a great dream that could carry the plot the church itself being destroyed closes the story. Of the many things such as the invaders from that other plane in Ferelden, the realm of the dead and how the church used it's mind techniques despite being mages, what that clan of cannibals in Carretas did to create perpetual spells yet I could have excused all that but... I wish there was a better fate for Miles at least...

Well...this was unexpected. This...I'm not sure how to feel about this ending. I feel like we're missing a lot of closure. There is open ended and then there is just a cliff. Very unsatisfying for a story I enjoyed soo much.

It has concluded... i wonder if miles died to the poison or his condition. He obviously asked ben to not give him any fanfare in his grave.

Guys, someone should write a fanfiction sequel for this book! (I might.. Probably not, but maybe) It's too depressing if the book is left as it is.

The author was probably going for Ben accidentally setting up the roots of a new church and repeating the mistakes of the past. For that to happen or at least start to happen, Ben had to disappear from the public eye. That said, there's no reason we, the audience couldn't be told what they were left in the dark about.

This is easily one of my favorite novel and i loved every part of it, but the ending just feels like a punch to the gut. I feel like there's so much more that could be explored. Plus if feels like a strangely sad ending, so here to hoping for a squeal or fanfic that continues the story.
