This story is at the same level as Release the Witch, the King's Avatar, Lord of Mysteries, Superstars of Tomorrow. Each character is very well crafted and detailed. They all have their own unique traits and personality. The world background is set in stone. It is not like not cr*p novels where it just keeps expanding. The cultivation in this novel and the power structure is incredibly built out. There is no one in this story that can wipe out the world. There are people who are extremely powerful but in the end they are still mortal. They age like everyone else and will eventually fall. Thank you for such an incredible story.

I love it! After watching the drama, i've decided to read the complete book :) Now im waiting for s2 joy of life to be broadcast. great translation too.

I started reading this after watching the first season of the show based on this novel. There's so much more detail here but it's definitely worth the read. As other reviews have mentioned, this story doesn't have the typical plot line. Just when you think you understood a character they do something unexpected and keep you on your toes the entire time.

If you like those overbearing MC that go steam rolling all the troubles in their way to become a immortal that can fly and crush mountains this isn't for you. This story follow a series of thrills and turns that never disappoint, fleshed out characters, a well designed world building, good poetry, great story telling, solid world building and quality writting. The main character, Fang Xian, don't try to solve his conflict head on, but with cunning and deceptive methods, he longs to enjoy his life to the fullest as to make up for his previous bedridden life, he wants to uncover the mysteries behin this world and find out more about his mother, who turns out to be more outstanding and unique that many believe. This plot is filled with political intrigue, romance, mortal leveled martial arts (wuxia) and a smart humor. overall, from all the novels in this website/app, this is one of the few gems I give a 5/5.

The story is great, but sadly the translation is not up to par, especially the translation of character's titles or position, like the one of Li Hongcheng. That makes the story confusing.

Novel is from high quality. Good character developnent and world setting. Although I don't get the poetry too much, due to my non-existent knowlegde of chinese literature. I also love the live-action drama..

This is so cultured and rich in terms of breath and depth. The plot, character development, and humor was very well thought out not too mention how refreshing the content is! It's also kinda woke and I'm here for it!

reading this as i cannot wait for season 2, there are lots of details from his childhood that would be interesting to be brought up on screen, i'm loving this book more than i expected!!

This is quite a good fun stop. I enjoyed reading this novel UPTU chapter 627 and I am will be continuing this slower. Overall this is a good story. I don't know why this novel is not so popular question mark.
