Very good...until its not. Was in my top 5 novels I've read ever until about 2k chap in then it's ever so slowly went downhill until I couldn't read past 3k chap. Once I took a step back I realized how much missed potential this story had and I kinda regret it. As you can see, I still rated it high as I believe it's overall definitely worth reading but temper you expectations after *SLIGHT SPOILER* he leaves the geno universe

Super gene was the first novel I ever read. That might lead to bias in this review but, for me, it is number one. You won't find anything similar out there. And by similar I mean truly similar, not only superficially copying the plot. 12-winged dark burning angel has one of the most creative minds there is and the world building in Super Gene ended up truly astronomical. Some may say the plots are repetitive, but it is indeed that vague sense of familiarity that the author masterfully employs in order to create one of the most (sur)real stories I've known of. And, after all, what is life but a repetition of phenomena? In that aspect, Super Gene and Han Sen are almost life-like and represent fundamental elements of this world and humanity. In short, Super Genr is a well written story that, through vengeance, mystery and humane feelings, propels a modern day homeric epic narrative that is much more than it seems. Thank you.

I can say this is one of the best books i've ever read so far. I usually don't stay that long on a certain novel. But on Super Gene i actually stayed and now i am on chap 1270.It is unique in a way it would pique your interest of what was about to come, although there may be fillers, lots of plot armors but the story is very well written, world background, character development even the idea of powers is also very unique.I would recommend this to those who are with long patience since this is neither a fast nor a slow novel. I do not have the money so i would write a review to show my support as a fan of this Great Novel.

This book is insanely good and really long which is what I was looking for, however the price tag of 1 book being over $500 is absolutely insane.
