A light-hearted novel. Fun to read. Somehow interesting. Still based on rewards and punishments. If everybody got a system that rewards its host for doing good deeds, wouldn't that make the world a better place? But if that is so, where's free will? What's freedom then?

Good novel for time pass. Good character design but I don't like the Buddha system. I don't like where mc is being used by others, or naive mc.

The story was fine up until a point. It was a relatively upbeat story about a guy exploring Buddism and interacting with people using Buddist principles. Unfortunately, the story becomes much more nationalist, and begins to defies/rewords buddist teachings to better excuse things that the nationalist writer seems to think is fine. I liked it up to a point, but then I didn't.

Phew. Finally finished reading. Now where should I begin .. This novel started slowly yet steadily. This novel makes you reflect on life and those around you. There are many positive elements that morally helpful. It teaches you how a person should take action towards their choices and many things. While I'm not really good with words, I really liked reading it. I learned a lot of things from reading. A good slice of life novel. 🥂🥂🥂 Final Rating : 4.5/5 - Max Peace out ⚟ 🥂

Horrible. This author is what you could call a "Master of Wordcount." Every chapter is jam-packed with filler, and only filler. The story would be 500 chapters long if it weren't for all of the filler. I don't think that's an exaggeration. The writing is also so cheesy, generic, and annoying to read that I actually can't tell if this story is satire or not. Everyone that isn't in the MC's circle acts like a generic cultivation novel villain despite this story taking place on modern Earth.

It starts out fun and entertaining but you should drop it as soon as he begins interacting with other countries. It just goes on and on about how racist and greedy other countries are and how kind, gentle, welcoming, friendly, and generous china is. It felt like the author had a gun to their head and was being forced to write propaganda.

I suddenly had the urge to finally check this out after almost a year of it sitting in my lib after deciding to stop reading it and letting it accumulate some more chapters, and now it's actually complete!!!!!!!

This story is not a very action-focused story. It's a story with very positive elements, that can both touch your heart and make you reflect on life and those around you. Of course, there will be some face-slapping elements when the 'fake monk' proves himself. It's a modern rendition of Ji Gong, the beggar Buddha, who is sincere, kindhearted, and a well-accomplished follower of the Buddhist teachings. Just like Ji Gong, our protagonist, Fangzheng helps those in need, leads them to riches, and sometimes even saving their lives. The story describes his various exploits while teaching us some obscure Chinese traditions and folklore.

The translator mIght say that this novel is for spreading positive vibes which is 70% untrue. first-the monk that was about to go enjoy a normal life trying to get a wife and child was denied that chance by a stupid system all for the sake of comedy. Second-every time a new person comes to the temple they’re either there to denounce the temple or to insult the monk by insulting him. Third-the calligraphy arch was aids and the actual author should get a “face slapping” for even doing this shitty arch. And forth-most of the five stars reviews are from experience seekers so the rating would be alot lower if it was graded properly

I dont know if he wants to make the story seem longer but there is tooooo much BUT and a big BUT when the story gets to the point it gets you very emotional. Its really good.
