After rereading this 5 years later it still hurts me that it’s not completed yet, but I still love this book nonetheless <3 It’s definitely worth reading if you’re willing to stay up all night for a whole week, just remember to eat and sleep 😭 Anyways this has a really special place in my heart, I just hope it gets completed soon. a slow moving novel that keeps you want to read more and more

one of the og stories from the q*dian era, this book is what made me make an account years ago. i wish i could read this for the first time again.

This is honestly one of my all time favorite novels there is! I don't know where to start my review.After all those years waiting I was never able to progress further as chapter 1430 so I never left a review. Still I reread the book multiple times, certain arcs even more than that. After waiting nearly three years for further updates, I decided to come to a close with this story (at least till there are any new updates) and progressed till the current last chapter 1501. This book will now silently sit in my "Completed & read" list waiting for new chapters. The story is about the FL that transmigrates/gets reborn in the womb of her new mother. Her mother is the widow of the nation's hero. To protect her child from their greedy relatives she chooses to raise her as a boy and let's her inherit her fathers military benefits. This is a futuristic world with mecha but also physical skills where the nations span across planetary sectors. So there are starships and fighs in space as well. The story follows the FL as she grows up, goes to military academy and enters the military besides her trusted comrades she found early on. Their journey never gets boring. First of all the writing is really great. Towards the later chapters (after thousand something) a few mistakes (like a missing word) start to appear but that is almost neglectible. It's detailed and you just can't seem to put the phone down. Same goes for the characters. As the story progresses and all the main characters start to grow up they also start to evolve and adapt. It goes really well together with the way their abilities and strength progresses and levels up as it is closely related to new insights and their character. All in all they are just so freaking adorable and very character is very unique and absolutely needed in the team. The story develops smoothly all the way to the later chapters. The world background very intricate and there is a lot of thought put into.For those that are concerned with romance... The first kiss happens in chapter 1407. And the FL doesn't even know she's in love yet so there's not much further progression on that till the current last chapter (1501). Still Ling Lan x Li Lanfeng is my all time favorite couple out there!At chapter 1501 the story is at a point where it's at a good stage for an open ending happy ending with her as the foreshadowing in chapter 1446 promises us. So for now I have to keep on rereading and waiting for the happy event of an update

As far as I've read , I liked it very much . But this setting is TOO MUCH misogynist . I especially hate the fact that Her father took that kind of decision without consulting with his wife & child. Not gonna drop it though , the story is interesting enough to read .

This book is good. I enjoy reading it over again. I wish I could have a copy for my bookshelf for days I don't use my phone.

I remember when you could only read up to chapter 500 in English. I had to create a Qidian acct and become fluent in translator apps to read up to 1500. I would recommend you go there to read directly if you can read Chinese (I can't) because Madam Ru's commentary is nice and lets you know why she only wrote up to 1500... LIFE. I do hope one day she will take up the novel again as I feel this is the best light novel I have ever read and has so much potential. Worth a read but keep in mind it has been a few years since the actual author RU went on hiatus.

Does anyone know novels like this one? Set into the future. Because after reading this I want more and more If you want a real review: it’s really good! Don’t be scared by the amount of chapters, because once you start reading it becomes a struggle to put down your phone!
